Does anyone recognise this shunter spotted in Carnforth Steam Town yard. Suspect by its design being too wider profiled to be British gauge it’s come over from the European main land and it doesn’t look like any factory type shunter I’ve seen in the UK either 1669925948

Would have to assume an ASDO failure just been on 195103 towards barrow my stop silverdale doors on front carriage didn’t respond to opening had to pull emergency release because to get off with the train being so crowded

The fact that there’s trains with a single plug drives me insane. Going to have to start taking extension leads out. They must have been doped up when they did that

On notes of poor ride quality on 195’s 195105 has shockingly dangerous feel to it. Was throwing about side to side and clanging/banging all over the place. And swaying side to side more than normal. I’ve reported to northern no actions been taken so I’m taking it up to with the HSE for advice

Why do TOCs poorly specify them? May be the actual question here most problems in the uk are currently down to poor specifications

What do people mean by prm lite? I assume everything except a prm toilet?

I doubt 195s are going to be removed from barrow to the airport for at least 10 years unless they electrify the Furness line but those plans were scrapped and no indication has been given when they will reconsider

I don’t think any of the dampers at the cab ends have as much issue with stress as the engine weight is towards the rear of the carriage which is where most cracks had been found. I’m not sure if I am completely correct here but I believe they didn’t give very much specification requirements to...

Surely they will have or had fixed it to some degree either way having seen pics of 195021 a few weeks ago (on this thread I think) a permanent solution is on the drawing boards be interesting to see if ride quality improves a little bit

they changed the font in the northern part of the logo must not have received new vinyls
