    Scottish Electrification updates & discussion

EK trains are very often late because of the weaknesses in the network east of Busby. A 2nd platform would help at EK and allow better scheduling. The passenger volume and 156 units with single leaf end doors don't help, the standing time is too long as people squeeze in. The 0759 from EK is a...

The creation of the second EK platform is badly needed to allow better reliability and reduce layover times at Central. Modern flats built might impinge on the space available though and make it more difficult than it needed to be. Would extending the Hairmyres Loop through the station not...

Creation of class 230 DEMUs from ex-LU D78s by Vivarail

East Kilbride and Barrhead locals? I mean they don't need them as Scotrail have other plans, but they would meet criteria and 60mph is not likely to be a problem due to stopping patterns. This does ignore that diagrams are inter worked with other Kilmarnock/Carlisle services however.

    Scotrail Class 385 Discussion

If they replace 314s will they also stumble onto the the Paisley Canal line or is there enough 380s to avoid that?
