I'm minded of the Scotrail one years ago where a train was delayed over a ticket dispute. That saw, admittedly another passenger, manhandle and evict the person involved and he was reported for assault over it, but the Crown didn't pursue a prosecution against either party.
I think drivers...
Thanks, couldn't think which one it was.
I'm just surprised the lack of alternatives, like surely arranging use of rail tickets on First services is all that's needed. Some areas don't have a great service without trains.
The Cathcart Circle, Newton and Neilston branches are shut this weekend.
What's interesting is no rail replacement has been provided at all, with only alternative train services on EK and Barrhead lines and use of the Service 3 bus from Neilston to Glasgow (which takes a very different route...
It also can cap wrongly. It doesn't seem to know about Scotrail interavailable stations and on the Cathcart Circle going Glasgow to Kings Park and back from Cathcart is charged at 2 singles.
I found the ScotRail app good for split ticketing but that appears to have gone missing.
2 two together tickets from Glasgow to Aberdeen is £87 in the old app and £102 in new app.
The new app also defaults to singles and return has to be selected, no doubt loads of people will accidentally...
I've driven in Ontario loads and done into Toronto to see a friend. Driving anywhere near Toronto is awful.
Even leaving the airport area on the 401 is horrible - rubbish drivers and horrendous traffic.
I see there are a couple of 318 special trains calling overnight for 20 mins at Balgray. I've just heard them accelerating hard from Cathcart! Presume this is checking various platform compliance?
I understand the Blackpool comments around the Calton Hill area with amusements etc, but the area near the falls is nice. The area with the Casinos and concrete 60s skyscrapers just feels weird!
Canadian side is nicer than the American and has the better view in my opinion. I enjoyed doing the...
What do you do with the 6? Arguably it struggles with the lower frequency and single deckers- upping the frequency is a lot more resource and cost. Deckers are simple but nothing made to fit...
Nothing from Clydebank to QUEH / Braehead has ever lasted via the Tunnel - pretty sure Arriva / Avondale have tried it and the CQ1 was a bit of a flop due to being timed to be non-stop due to funding. The 24 should do well via the new route however.
Good to see the back of the 23P which was...
Union Street is hammering reliability for a lot of services. Routes are comfortably 10 minutes late by the time they get to the River.
Councils and politicians talk a good game about public buses but no support at all for them.
The issue with the 6 is the frequency has dropped. I think it's roughly every 15 minutes (although sometimes there are weirdly spaced gaps) whereas it was every 10 minutes or better. Leaving EK at 5pm at night, there is only 3 buses an hour which is a fair drop. So you used to have at least 6...
This. The actions on the pitch at the end and in the Trongate are embarrassing to the club and the other fans.
Hearts didn't do a lot wrong in all honesty but lost to Kilmarnock, St Mirren and drew with Livingston in the last few months, teams that finished in 10th, 11th and 12th... That was...
No legal expert but surely that would fall foul of competition laws? I think there could be valid reasons for refusing - safety, congestion etc, but not just without any reason.
This is far more likely. I've often wondered if the Braehead diversions are justified in terms of cost/time for an...
Are you sure on that? Airports don't usually have such restrictions after the Luton Airport court case.
You can for example book the limited Citylink services between the airport and the City Centre?
