I think (though Im not sure) he was suggesting that he would have been fine with just the other pints, but that extra one took it a bit too far. I had the same thought as you, though, when I first read it!
So, you're saying you only travel on VT if its worth travelling first class?
This seems bizarre. Surely, even if it isn't 'worth' travelling at first class, you should just get a cheaper standard class ticket rather than avoid the trains altogether?(!)
Thanks for this route, it's great, and I love the feature to drive back to Holborn. Just one minor thing -- I always get 'please go back to correct the stop position' at both ends, and no matter how far i go (even back into the tunnel) it doesnt go away. Where do I need to stop?
I'm completely with you on this one. Ive spoken to a number of younger forum members via msn who, as well as wondering why they get the **** taken out of them, claim not to know why. Ive also noticed in various threads on the forum. The answer is simple: get some social skills. :thumbup:

Im not sure if it's like this on all lines, or just the RER, or something like that cos I can't really remember, but when I was in Paris I'm sure you didnt need to put your ticket in to exit the system.
