Anyone stopped/reduced how much they commute because of changes to LNER ticket pricing?

Unfortunately this is definitely not true. 1764004102 I don't think this is the issue. The vast majority of people know how much they need and estimate with a margin for error. They only need to meet it on average. It's just not an issue.

EMR need to be stripped of their franchise

The stock has been sat idle for several years but Chiltern are now leasing it. The recruits were all told their services weren't required.

Expansion of Disabled Persons Railcard eligibility

I think that it would be wise to be quite cautious before saying something which implies that Northern Ireland is in some way less a part of the UK than Wales and Scotland are. I'm sure that's not really what anyone meant here but... You can rely on the objective facts about the ways in which...

EMR need to be stripped of their franchise

The difference is there is a good solid reason for providing a direct train between London and Liverpool, Plymouth and Edinburgh, Bristol and Newcastle (or wherever). Unfortunately there's very little need of a slow through train between Liverpool and Ely, Warrington and Thetford or Manchester...

Anyone stopped/reduced how much they commute because of changes to LNER ticket pricing?

The market in overall is elastic. The market on trains is very inelastc. The options for further segmentation of this are pretty much exhausted, and in any case a simplification implies less opportunity for that than there is today. This is a key reason why SNCF launched Ouigo GV, a deliberately...

Anyone stopped/reduced how much they commute because of changes to LNER ticket pricing?

Not really, because currently a lot of those people who are on the train are travelling at the Anytime rate, or just a hair under it. Charge £5 less, nearly everyone in the train pays £5 less, and nobody else enters the market. They have exploited the inelastic segment for every penny very...

Anyone stopped/reduced how much they commute because of changes to LNER ticket pricing?

It's likely to be the new normal for LNER, Avanti West Coast and long distance EMR-set fares yes. Maybe more depending on the long term strategy but I doubt anyone currently understands how to interface the likes of CrossCountry into this split between pay and you go areas and £250 Anytime...

XC RMT Strike - is there a discussion somewhere?

Is that not what they do for everyone? I'd expect they'll announce that this can be done at no cost shortly too. So in that respect, they've probably ripped you off there. I don't think there were technical issues, that's normal practice.

EMR need to be stripped of their franchise

It's because the reliability of this service hinges on right time performance in and out of Sheffield, at the Hazel Grove chord, Stockport, between Ardwick Jn and Castlefield Jn, and at Allerton Jn. On the other hand, it also hinges on right time presentations at Grantham through the single...

EMR need to be stripped of their franchise

Several million pounds of public money was spent leasing rolling stock, identifying building space and recruiting train crew for this service to be split, to achieve the benefits which you mention. Many people in the industry wanted, and still do want, the split to go ahead. Indeed it hopefully...

XC RMT Strike - is there a discussion somewhere?

It was the same with the previous round. They left that on the website for over a week.

    RST Travel Vouchers on SNCB

Actually many people who grew up in and have family from Flanders use the English word Flemish to describe the language variation as well as the culture, even if they would usually say Nederlands or Néerlandais when speaking Dutch or French. I think what you're getting at is the Belgian...

    Bletchley Eastern entrance UPDATEs

The local bus interchange is quite poor at Bletchley unfortunately. Something on that side would be better. I assume nothing would change about the pick up / drop off, car parks and access to the main road towards Bletchley Park. The ticket office and crew facilities are down there anyway.

Fare evasion 2nd letter what does it mean?

I would say that the consensus is that this avenue has already been exhausted. I agree there's actually no downside to trying, as noted by you here. However @Manak are a verified rep for a reason so they will have seen a large number of these cases.

Fare evasion 2nd letter what does it mean?

I think you have admitted to the offence both when you were stopped and subsequently in your letter to them, so unfortunately, you are out of options other than pleading guilty and submitting mitigation. You may be fined less if you are on a low income and have evidence such as bank statements...

Doors didn’t open at Finsbury Park and was issued a witness statement receipt

If you don't hear within three days, so by the end of Wednesday, I would very politely chase a CCTV request. The time window is usually very short to get the data before it is lost forever. Requests for CCTV should be handled urgently, but we know operators sometimes drop the ball. It will...
