No First Class refund on GWR?

Generally by opening https://www.journeycheck.com/greatwesternrailway/ where it would state no catering or first class accommodation available.

    Norwich trams/metro

I've proposed a Cringleford station quite a few times, it'd be a great location for a modest amount of new housebuilding and for serving the whole western half of outer Norwich which is currently poorly served by any mode apart from driving, especially for journeys to Peterborough, Cambridge and...

Cambridge South : no parking (and local CCTV is dissuade anyone from stopping near by...)

It's not. There's no space for car parking for rail users. This has already been explained quite a few times in the messages above yours. The station itself is a inanimate object which is already in a finished state and open to the public. It cannot "fail" or "succeed", because it already...

The cost of living agenda - how should the railway contribute ?

There are loads of trains which are very poorly loaded, but which cost a lot if you want to travel on them. Some examples from Mondays - Thursdays: 0502 York to Manchester Airport 0530 Wakefield Kirkgate to Manchester Piccadilly 0504 Manchester Piccadilly to London Euston 0914 Manchester...

Ghost drivers - Fatal crash on A66

Technically prison doesn't take away people's individuality, as rebuilding that as something better is supposed to be part of the job of the sentence! That's why prisoners are encouraged to do work within the prison system for example. It doesn't impose a particular diet on you either, you get...

Ghost drivers - Fatal crash on A66

Technically the purpose of the justice system is to punish, rehabilitate and deter. Wanton abuse does not fulfil any of those and may actually be counter-productive to at least two. That's why the modern concept of prison is that it's to deprive one of one's liberty, but not of one's dignity...

Why is Edge Hill closed on Sundays?

Probably for similar reasons Patricroft, Humphrey Park, Fairfield, Flixton, Atherton, Worplesdon, Featherstone, Prittlewell, Ryder Brow and so on didn't. Humphrey Park, Fairfield and Ryder Brow still don't today, along with others nearby.

Why is Edge Hill closed on Sundays?

I don't come from Bolton, I set my location there in response to another poster who made a joke about who'd want to live in Bolton ;) You do seem to have assumed I was saying it's in an unpleasant part of town though, which it isn't.

    Thameslink fare evasion self-report (England

I was about to suggest this myself but I see the advice has already been well given. :) The best thing to do is to be careful in future, and ensure that you have the correct ticket before boarding every time.

TIR - failure to provide alternative format

Indeed. Given the electronic screen-reader's compatible version would cost the company ~£0, if anything, by ignoring the straightforward request, the company has been vexatious. The OP has already mentioned being happy with that option.

Why is Edge Hill closed on Sundays?

The station is absolutely filthy, it's difficult to access over uneven ground and steps, it's poorly lit and it's very little used on any day of the week. The biggest custom is usually people fare evading, which is very easy, if you get there from say Bryn without a ticket, lots of people leave...

Unpopular opinion: IETs are perfectly fine, for the most part.

They're so uncomfortably small I'd never dream of taking a bag in there. If you did you'd risk pressing the call for aid or toilet flush button with it. Also, there's nowhere you can place a small suitcase or large backpack that won't be doused in other people's waste water. This is actually...

All cross country services suspended 23/08/26

The Oxford Canal stopper on Sundays is a right funny one, from 4 October onwards it doesn't run at all. I guess it returns at the May change the following year.

A lot of the software isn't supplied in a cloud-based format. Of course anything is possible but every operator has a slightly different combination of control software and interfaces. To achieve what you're suggesting I'd suggest a large in-house development project would probably be needed as...

Some users were able to make them, I've no doubt. I wasn't, though.

That wouldn't work for me at all during the approximately four hours it was up for while I was trying to do something with it. Typically the failure was when I did want to use my account to make a payment. This is more acute with Monzo because they don't provide any in-person or telephone...

BR Fares now selling itinerary-free tickets

Whichever website you used to find out the information. I don't know where that is as you've not stated so explicitly. Why might that be the case? I don't see any reason not to myself. You keep mentioning replacement buses so again I can't help you. As per my previous suggestion. Someone...

You'd be allowed to go down to Haddenham & Thame Parkway etc if you didn't want to walk. Unfortunately, that wouldn't necessarily guarantee you'd get a better connection.

BR Fares now selling itinerary-free tickets

Correct. Only you can decide what you want to do. All I'm saying is there's no additional risk from using BR Fares. I wouldn't say that at all. If the website suggested that Clapham Junction was where you need to change with the bus then I'd say any permitted route from Birmingham to Clapham...

BR Fares now selling itinerary-free tickets

In that circumstance, if the London Overground or Southern website mentioned a TfL bus route accepting tickets, then I'd say they're valid for the mentioned bus routes and railway interchanges regardless of what the permitted routes are or aren't.
