I agree, apparently it was a Leeds - Skipton train so presumably a class 333 this is a real tragedy...

well when I go tit northallerton you get the class 60 hauled oil train south at about 9 30, you also get a fair few gbrf coal trains and some freightliner coals, and then the dbs tarmac trains and drs scrap trains which go through to redcar and stockton respectivley

leeds quite a lot, also sunderland with the two huge platforms...

Apparently the likelihood of D1015 working its ECML charter is declining by the minute as it is still at Eastleigh works. From what I have heard, that empty oil train has broken it badly and it may not work the charter much to mine and your disappointment. Does anyone have any information or...

I've been advised that GC is to borrow one of XC's HST's on Friday 27 to cover for 180 maintenance. This will presumably work the 0804 off Sunderland and 1650 off London.

Very well I hear, no major problems from 105 or 112, each have been working regularly at the moment, with 105 getting a repaint whenever 114 is ready, repainted and refurbed... (nice repetition there :-)) Always has been like this and this has been maintained well...

Grand Central are doing well at the moment, the new fourth path service is in operation and is going smoothly, recently most services have been without hassle and the trains are doing well.
