Were the loco hauled Northampton cobbler services Intercity or NSE? They stopped at Bletchley.
MKC opened in May 1982 - according to the old area hands it took quite a while to get a deal done to actually build a station as BR were essentially skint and weren't interested
They did - there are...
Poor fella. He paid a woman he had never met £12m for things he never did and now he has lost his title and and home while being entirely innocent of things he didn't do. Shocking.
Imagine if he was guilty!
PS - am i still paying for him?
Thanks! The one day this week I couldn't be at home!
The one that has been in Bletchley yard since a pair of 20's brought it down a couple of months ago? Very odd!
I would add social media to the list also - the pub whopper was always there. Now he has an unfiltered megaphone to everyone on earth and the ability to form a network of whoppers to support and amplify each others whopping all with helpful anonymity if preferred.
they are pretty good rates for Darlington and the north east. Data entry might be a bit harsh but certainly introductory professional jobs with the civil service. You could certainly afford my now £600 pcm 2 bed terrace on them!
Absolutely - things happen. People go sick when other people are on leave. It might be that nothing more can be done practically and it is just the standard Swiss cheese example.

a good number - jobs from data entry to fairly senior manager paying good wages. Look on the web. Easy to find them.
I mean, obviously. However not all of them.
Do you know Darlo at all?
Because when I needed a job 15 years ago this is where I found one. These days I might be able to stay!
perhaps different rolling stock might make it possible? Perhaps they have found a way to tweak the timetable to fit? perhaps a commitment to keep people in good jobs in a marginal constituency might make the timetable work in thier favour ;-)
Yes - they are decent blokes - there is quite bit of front but they are good guys. They enjoy a bit of needle as well which goes against them. They didn't do so well at Spennymoor but they were out of thier usual pool
Where do we place people like Nicholas Wood? He wrote his influential book A Practical Treatise on Rail-roads and Interior Communication in 1825.
He was certainly a professionally enthusiastic supporter of early railways!
Wiki entry here for those interested...
Clearly there needs to be trained resource higher up the chain to cover for escalated issues like this. I am surprised there aren't any mobile resources that could be deployed lessening any delay.
There should be a business continuity plan for events like this. It is an obvious single point...
Darlington 2 v Southport 0 - our first home win of the season. Three loanee debutants: Paddy McLoughlin from York, Max Howells from Boro and Darryl Ombang from Leeds
Yes - they have recruited well, have the chuckle brothers in charge ( Anthony Johnson and Bernard Morley - a duo who know this...
