i noticed this morning that a well wagon is still at Bletchley - all very odd - did the HST power cars return home "empty handed"?

    Football

Merthyr Tydfil 3 v Darlo 1 Darlo had a man sent off after about 16 minutes. Gave a soft goal away from a corner, gave the second scorer too much space to control, turn and pick a spot and the thirds was another soft goal from a corner. After the break Darlo reduced the deficit and looked on...

East-West Rail (EWR) countdown to entry into service

no - certainly not into the depot. Only accessible from the Bletchley end. The Cambridge sidings are connected at the Fenny end but am unsure if: a) a movement INTO the sidings is possible from Fenny - there is a shunt signal so perhaps it is. and b) if the sidings are useable. and c) no idea...

WW II SRRS UK strategic railway

that video is utter nonsense - I am sure there were railways during the second war which were of strategic importance ( as today) and I am sure the first Churchill Tanks travelled by train to proving grounds via strategically important lines but it wasn't some super secret under cover...

East-West Rail (EWR) countdown to entry into service

They have to learn to Fenny Stratford as it is the only way of accessing the depot: Bletchley High > Fenny Stratford (Reverse) > Bletchley Low (Reverse) > Depot ( passing the depot twice on different levels in doing that short move!)

    ATW 0910 Crewe > Cardiff 01/11/25

To make it worse I promised him a proper breakfast on the train. It is a bit late to ring him now ;) I assume the changes are due to reliability based issues

    ATW 0910 Crewe > Cardiff 01/11/25

Thanks all - I promised my friend a fancy train for his journey from Manchester/Crewe to Cardiff tomorrow. Oh well! He will be happy when I meet him at Cardiff ;) ( he doesn't like "little" trains for a long journey!)

Bemusing: Kings Cross gateline closed to exit

nor are people paid to think for themselves in these roles. TBH if you were paying me bot all to do a boring job I would be disinclined to think for myself! without coming over all Farage even English competence can be low. It is what you get for contracting out and using those at the bottom...

    60087 - Wensleydale Railway

A good bit of cooperation - it must have moved to the Castle Hills siding as i don't think the Wensleydale Railway have a mainline certified locomotive.
