That doesn't seem like much of a mitigator! Wait x years until we run a proper service but not for PITA's like you because we are going to bulldoze your grotty little station. Sorry for any inconvenience. Thanks for your custom over the years!
As I said we cant just give up. We need a better...
I am not going to repat what is being said on local facebook groups about railway staff. You can guess.
Regardless. As an industry we cant just give up. We have to look at mitigators beyond get a bus. Keeping the show on the road train wise must be the first priority. Passengers have to come...
ok - but how is that different from any point in the last 40 years? Why is it now that this new and exciting excuse to give up running a service has been deployed?
Do TfW, GWR and Northern have these problems with class 150 trains and if not what are they doing that LNWR arent?
LNWR have withdrawn Marston Vale line services after 1130 today (12th) and tomorrow (13th) because of "hot temperatures affecting train units on this line"
Oddly they wont say what the issue is........................................
The toilets at Preston seem quite smart. They mist have been done up recently. Dont see the problem.

you can see Waitrose from the station. It is adjacent.
British Steel Redcar?
I wonder if I am the only person here to have used the station on official business. In my former life I had to visit said military base to consult with someone based there. It took some convincing to get Darlington Station travel centre to sell me a day return!
They did some training runs - I caught the sleeper rake at MKC with a 57 at each end and caught an 800 on Bletchley flyover.
These diversions will be running before the normal passenger service at this rate. I wonder if they are open to MKC > Oxford passengers?
This morning the 0517 Bletchley > Bedford service (2S01) was cancelled. RTT indicates that the train was cancelled "due to a mishap (TY)". I don't think I have seen that before. What does it mean?
( I know there is some interpretation of the codes used on RTT)
agreed - but I am taking about on the day - run or not run? I would rather they keep the show on the road with mitigations and alternatives for those for whom the mitigations are not practical. (As in pay for those passengers to use a train with a toilet! )
You assume it is penny pinching. It...
it is summer holidays, nice weather and a service running on voluntary overtime. It happens every year and will happen every year until something different is worked out T&C wise.
OBVIOUSLY, the train should have working toilets. CLEARLY, alternative travel options for those unable to, erm, hold until Preston should be offered. If it were me I would want the train to run. That said, I would be keen for it to be at Preston on time lets say!
Many are quick to complain...
We are aware of an issue with emails from the Forum to Microsoft-based email accounts (hotmail/outlook/live.com email addresses). This is being looked into currently, thanks for your patience meanwhile.
