    I'd say it's because those 21/84 360s can only be used as far as Corby while the HSTs go up to Nottingham and Leicester, meaning the HST sets are only being replaced properly by the 4 180s.

    I'd say that sounds about right, which i'd say translates to one less row of seats per carriage, not sure how many seats per row on an 80x but I'd say 4 or 5.

    That's an old photo of 87002 in intercity livery. Very likely it's in intercity livery but I haven't seen any recent photos proving it's in InterCity livery. The way I know this is that DVT 82110 has been scrapped and certainly isn't in intercity livery.
