I don't see anything wrong with boarding first class if it's the first coach from the buffer, as long as you move down the train into standard afterwards.

Acton Bridge, Hartford and Winsford would be left without a service, so I can see being reduced to an hourly stopper and ran via the independents.

Atleast LNER are better than Avanti in not cancelling the service halfway through!

When I was travelling from Glasgow on Avanti, the announcements started saying stations on the Holyhead line. Pendos don't even go there never mind being the wrong route!

Travelled between Lockerbie and Motherwell this evening, was better than I expected, especially given the EMR 222 woes. Signal reception was poor but the seats were comfortable and decent leg room.
