I'd agree that the Class 70 looks pretty ugly. For that very reason, my least favourite is the 20 - just can't endear myself to them. Can't agree re: 47s though - they're my favourite - not the most spectacular loco by any means, but for sheer durability they deserve admiration, imho.

Final question (I suspected 67s): Any ideas as to whether it's running via Cambridge, or via Stratford/Colchester? My guess would be Cambridge...?

I'd have thought the same before I travelled with them for the first time on Saturday. The on-board staff - particularly the train manager - was rude, unhelpful and aloof in responding to a simple enquiry as to why they'd closed an entire coach for no apparent reason. Additionally, 1730...

Just noticed that the 14.08 XC Edinburgh to Plymouth terminated at Bristol TM, and the 18.05 Manchester Picc - Plymouth terminated at New Street. Obviously got serious issues today.
