This week I was travelling on EMR and after my ticket and railcard were scanned by the ticket inspector, I was asked to confirm my name. Had this happened to anyone before? Never had an issue before but seemed odd. What would the reason for this be?

Travelling from Derby, I opt for Avanti from Lichfield Trent Valley. Generally save around a third with advances for the coming month - has a small impact of around 15 minutes but worth the saving

Hi all, The following seem to be regularly switching between 5 and 10 car formations. Are these timetables or short forms when 5 car? 06:30 SHF - STP 17:32 STP - SHF 16:02 and 19:02 from STP are more reliable as 10 car, but surely EMR should prioritise peak services?
