After £140m upgrade to Liverpool Lime Street. I felt disappointed that the project didnt go far enough and the station can only handle an extra 3 trains an hour.
With the former platform one now sitting empty, my idea would be to:
1) Rebuild Northern Rail offices at the top of the platform by...
Obviously Greater Anglia have come up short with rolling stock calculations and have had to refresh old stock i.e. 317s when they should have been scrapped as they have reached end life. This seems to be happening with many other ROCs like TPE who might have to take MK4s and loco's from EC.
I think MK4 could be used on the TPE Middlesbrough & Hull routes. I also think it would be a good idea for some 4/5 car units to run Liverpool - Chester - Cardiff / Holyhead routes once Halton Curve is opened. This would be a stop gap until new franchise announced and new rolling stock ordered
Same happened to my family but on airport bus 80A it stank of wee. I think it caused by chemicals in cleaning products they use at depots in Liverpool already complained to Arriva on twitter.

First time the closed was to replace track only. Problem was the guy in charge got metric and imperial mixed up causing the wheels to degrade so fast that 30% of fleet had to be withdrawn to change the wheels. 2009 sections of the loop where replaced with electrical and drainage. But it seems...

Just emailed Chairman Claire Hollingsworth at Eurostar regarding class 373 being taken for scrap. I offered an alternative in that the carriages should be offered to ROCs and used with loco's 67s (or other) on long haul routes across North Wales or Northern England - ATW, Northern, EMT, Virgin...
Unless the new franchise winner buys new fleet of trains or gets a large hand Me downs from other operators. W&B are going to be well short of units when the new European Access Laws come in effect in 2020 as they won't be able to use Class 142/3. Only alternative is to upgrade them to class...
I've just been told by Wendy at Eversholt Rail that there 44 class 313s will come off lease from Thameslink in Q3 of 2018. Between 6-8 units will go to Merseyrail as back up units to there sister Class 507/8 fleet until MerseyRail get there new fleet in 2020. The rest will be scrapped but spares...
Does anyone know if I can write to a particular department whether it be Network Rail, DfT, ORR about available pathways on a particular route?
Example: Space in timetable to extend the Derby - Crewe (EMT) service to Liverpool
