I asked the TOC and they said that they would only phone my current employer AFTER they had employed me themselves. Which would make my current employer my former employer, but never mind. Not sure how it works if I get a bad reference. I shouldn't get a bad reference though so I'm not worried.

That's about as much as I expected, TDK. Fingers crossed I hear back from them soon. They've said they will let me know when they have a start date.

Does anyone have advice on Scotrail? Passed everything but I seemed to be shelved and got told to wait for a position to open. Any other alternatives? Could I approach another TOC? Virgin or the like?
