Hi folks,

I have been fortunate and have passed the Mechanical Test, the Group Bourdon, the 2 trainability tests and an Interview with 3 managers. I am now awaiting conformation of a date for the structured interview and the co-ordination test, which are hopefully some time next week.

My question to you all is: how do I sell myself in the structured interview? The numbers of applicants have been whittled down so far but is it all hinging on the structured interview or do they take into account all the previous test results?

Also what sort of questions do they ask in the structured interview?

I'd be grateful for any help you can offer.
Thanks,
Fraser

If this is the structured interview as part of the psychometric tests then this is not to be confused with the interview with the driver managers. The structured interview that is part of the psychometric tests is not about selling yourself but it is about providing relevant examples to the questions asked supposedly to prove you have certain skills the test centre are looking for to tick the boxes. Questions are:
1) Describe a time you had to deal with an emergency
2) Describe a time you solved a difficult problem
3) Describe a time you worked alone for long periods of time
4) Describe a time when you completed a training course lasting longer than 2 weeks
5) Describe a time when you followed rules

As for the interview with the driver managers, they could ask anything, but the psychometric test's structured interview is the one you really don't want to fail as it counts as 1 of a possible 2 fails

Thanks Beveridges for the questions. I shall prepare answers for them.
Yes this is the structured interview as part of the psychometric tests. I've already been to the interview with the driver managers.

I apologies for not seeing the Structured Interview thread before posting this. I will look through it all and post any questions afterwards.

Many thanks again.
