I was showing "on file" while I was swimming around in the pool waiting for another vacancy to come up.
So it probably means you're on hold.
Not sure about now but when I was on file, after 6 months I was dropped and now have to apply from scratch for any vacancies, despite passing two...
More than likely the case. I've been on hold for MDD at Newcastle for a while and was contacted early last week to ask if I'd be available to start training at Leeds on 27th however they couldn't offer me a job as internal candidates would get priority. They were having psychometrics Thursday...
455 driver, Maybe I phrased things wrong! I certainly have no problem with taking the tests again if that's what it takes!
What I meant by being legal, was basically making sure I wasn't breaking rules etc by retaking the tests so soon after taking them previously. Judging from previous answers...
Bit of advice again please!
I passed psychometrics for FGW less than a year ago but they don't do the mechanical test which Northern insist on.
But instead of just inviting me to do the mechanical part, they want me to do the entire thing again!
My question is: is it legal to retake all...
The TOC I'm currently pending for have realised that I have not done the mechanical comprehension assessment when I did the psychometrics for First Group, therefore I need to take this particular module.
If I wanted to get it privately, where does these now? The DB Schenker email says...
London Underground certainly do. They monitor social media, forums (such as this) and Ebay etc. Amazing the amount of LU stuff that was on Ebay at one time!
It's been a few years since I had an interview for a signallers job, but back then, the questions started as you would expect: Tell me about yourself, What do you know about the role, what do you know about Network Rail, Why do you want the role, what could you bring to the role etc.
Then...
Nope! Even while driving on LU, I couldn't apply for 'qualified' positions so I've always just applied for trainee positions.
I'll wait and see what emails or calls I get tomorrow...
@ Beveridges: Indeed it is the MDD position! I've spoken to HR quite a bit over the last few days, and asked them exactly what you ask, ie why do you need this for a trainee position, and apparently it's the TOCs policy to investigate any previous experience which then has to go to the...
Hi,
I've been provisionally offered a job but subject to getting my safety record from LU.
I've spoken to LU HR who inform me my safety record is no longer available due to me being away for 7 years now. Obviously they can confirm my emplyment details but that's all.
My question is, seeing as...
Red isn't always at the bottom on the railway. Red is always closest to the drivers eye level (or so I was taught many years ago). I seem to remember one of the starters at Reading had the red aspect at the top (I think it was on one of the electric line platforms).
The medical will be arranged for you if you pass the managers interview.
Tramadol (in fact most medications) will show up in your urine sample.
If and when you get to a medical, you need to fill in a form with details of any medication you've taken etc.
Make sure you declare everything...
So, how did everyone get on at the assessments?
Did you find out straight away or are you still waiting to hear?
I only ask because I also passed interview but my psychometric results from FGW earlier this year are still current. My online status shows as being on hold.
Sorry to start a new thread, however I was wondering if anyone else has failed the DM interview for Great Western and if so, how long did you have to wait for feedback?
It's been almost two months since I failed my interview and despite several emails and phone calls to them, I am still...
