Saw the WCR stock in Newcastle today, s. I was surprised to see the whole train reversing onto platform 3. I wonder why this movement happened?, I guess it was something to do with the overnight stabling of the train?. Seeing and hearing the Brush 4 really took me back to the early 70`s !.

Saw this impressive loco at Newcastle yesterday, northbound. It certainly seemed to be `wheezing` coming over the Tyne bridges. Was the failure northbound?. What was the nature of the failure?.

Slightly of on a tangent, but i remember seeing E3173 being propelled through Darlington station by the pilot, Long way from any wires then, and the pan was certainly down. Amazing sight & cop!
