Resolving strike action

Whilst I am not here to comment on the strike action, & I will remain neutral for this thread.
I use rail travel occasionally & randomly in the course of my work, & the strike actions are very frustrating.
We hear very few comments from either parties, but i ask the questions
1- are the two groups having meetings around the table to resolve the issues ?
2- Can ACAS be used as a mediator to help resolve ?

the actions just seem to be on-going with no resolution forthcoming

Asking the same question of whether any talks where currently happening or planned in the traincrew messroom today one person said they thought yesterday, another thought today & everone else had no idea at all. Who knows?

Would like to know how the turnout is. As in whether it’s up or down from the first ones in June. Think there has been about 10 now, so surely that must hit you in the pocket.

Not had any further ballot. There is a bit more overtime being worked at the moment & not all strike days are unlucky enough to affect everone. I’ve personally not noticed any loss of pay & infact by doing extra at rest day/Sunday rate has meant I’m actually better off.

I think that strike negotiations should have to take place in public, then both sides have to be honest after the event and all can see if either side is being unreasonable, union members may also appreciate this as they would know that what feeds down from above is true, (there are often suspicions).
