I agree entirely. The women are happy and willing participants. If they have no problem what they're doing then who is anyone else to be offended on their behalf?

Unfortunately thats another thing we have a lot of these days.
People getting offended and outraged on everyones behalf, often without actually seeing or hearing the offending item themselves.
A good example of this was Brand / Ross and also Keys / Gray

The thing with Keys/Gray was the holier-than-thou/moral high ground aftertones from feminists such as Karren Brady, getting on their high horses about how women are continually discriminated against at work, with absolutely no attempt to tackle the issue of a couple of people saying inappropriate things.
Yes Keys and Gray should've been a little more responsible, but all it needed was a formal apology

because we've all been a teenager in the past. This picture is not porn and far from it. what is being worn in the picture is not immoral, no body parts on display which would make it immoral.

I have reread the thread and found no comments concerning, most refleted a lighthearted reaction to seeing an attractive woman 'nice legs' etc, there was no full on perverted comments.

Again, everyone has separate morals, you cannot comment on what are and are not moral standards.

They were not forced to dress in such a manner.

But there is no reason for them to choose to dress in such a manner, then pose for a photo, unless they were trying to give a certain sort of impression.

I can only view this as sexulisation. However, would the company have chosen to also dress male staff in such a suggestive manner? Therefore, I also view this as discrimination. Subtle, perhaps, but discrimination nonetheless.

Unfortunately, the rather important debate about gender equality and the exploitation of women is being butchered by this rather petty debate over a single photo.

I can only agree. I was not hoping to use hundreds of posts about this particular photo. It is, in my opinion, but an example of sexualisation in modern society.

Well done for you to have Morals but your view on this picture seemed to be a bit strange. As no doubt girls from your school will dress like this for 'muffti' (Non-Uniform) days and for Halloween. But its all a part of growing up for anyones lifes when they reach a certain age.

Also when you are old enough to go out at night you will see many young women will dress like this or considerably worse with all sort of things showing.

And to answer ur question TBW, what would it have been like if I had won that competition? People would have been bitching and moaning that I would have won the competition because of the "sex appeal" aspect.

And the problem would be theirs, not yours! If I won the competition with that photo and others started about it, I certainly wouldn't lose any sleep over it and I'd probably just be amused by such a reaction from two or three people (and that's all it was earlier in this thread). There are far more important things in life to worry over.

In this competition, we have a theme each week - clearly, people are going to take the subject matter into account as well as the quality of the picture itself when voting, and that doesn't just apply when people are involved. I'm sure if there were two pretty identical photos, of the same quality, and one was of a 375 unit and the other a Class 37, the loco would get a lot more votes.
