As SPT never publicise commercially operated bus services or even journeys on otherwise mainly tendered routes, I think you can take it that the 49A and 49B are provided tendered.

The 49A/B are supported (tendered) services operated by Shuttle Buses on a three year SPT contract which commenced on 14 July 2024.

After some digging the changes on the 247 is an extra journey from Kirkintilloch to Monkland's hospital Dep 19.15, leaving Cumbernauld at 19.38. This information is only on Traveline Scotland.

A summary of the new contract changes from July onwards:
- ARG Travel lose the 101/181, M2/74, 202 and 312 services to Stuart's Coaches.
- First Glasgow gain the service 11 from West Coast Motors and the 128 and 141 services from McColls Travel.
- Hobson Travel retain the 172/172A service.
- McColls Travel lose the 128 and the 141 services to First Glasgow and also lose the M91 and M94 MyBus Services to PVT Transfer.
- McGill's lose the 64/164/364 service to Stuart's Coaches, retain the X6A/X6B/X7 and X22 services and will run the new 18A/18B Service (Combination of the 1A/1B/9 & 530 Services ran by McGill's and Shuttle Buses).
- PVT Transfer lose the 29/29A/29C service to Stuart's Coaches, retain the 343 service and gain the M91 and M94 MyBus Services from McColls Travel.
- Shuttle Buses lose the 9 Service to the new 18A/18B Service by McGill's (Combination of the 1A/1B/9 & 530 Services ran my McGill's and Shuttle Buses) and the 332 service has been withdrawn. They retain the 29/29A, 113 and 219 services and gain the 30/31 service from Stuart's Coaches (Could be a mistake).
- Stuart's Coaches lose 30/31 service to Shuttle Buses (Could be a mistake), retain the 243 service and gain the 101/181, M2/74 (Now an extended M2), 202 and 312 services from ARG Travel, the 164/364 services from McGill's and the 29/29A/29C service from PVT Transfer. It appears the 64 Service will be withdrawn and replaced by the 164/364 services and curtailed at Parkhead.
- West Coast Motors lose the 11 service to First Glasgow.

Highlights are the return of First to tendered operations, winning the 128 & 141 at the expense of McColl’s.
Stuarts Coaches gaining a number of new contracts, some a good distance from their base.
Talking a good distance from base, Shuttle Buses seem to have packaged the 30/31 (Wanlockhead-Lanark) with some of their local Ayrshire services, which will take them a long way from Kilwinning!!

So the cuts continue, mind you if your paying for fresh air express what does anyone expect?
202/312 look more like sneaky cut, esp with the savings of over 70k. I dare say it will go down to every 2 hours on a Sunday.

I see that Houston’s 101 contract is extended for another 2 years until 2028 with a cost saving of £18,500.

Some very positive changes, but still very much missing out on the low hanging fruit.
I am interested to see what is going to happen with the McGills Bridge of Weir routes as the description of "Contract/Service consolidation. Optional timetable and farescale, offering enhanced frequency through additional resource" sounds great, but somehow also this is saving £160k. Additional resource but also saving so much money.
Is it combining the 530 and 1 services to a through route? You might *just* get a 60 min clock face offering?
Is a lot of the saving down to the contract being different as previously McGills had 1/1a and 2/2a routes but the latter 3 routes were binned when Johnstone Area Community Transport ran the short lived 9 commercial service. McGills covered the 9 after the stopped running but now with Shuttle Buses. The cost reduction might be down to it being a simpler 1 route contract.

The 312 looks withdrawn between the Hospital and Coatbridge so potentially interworking with the 202 and both reduced to 2 hourly eve and Sun using 1 bus, not very helpful for workers/leisure/visiting hours i must say but least not gone completely

McGill’s provided a much improved alternative offer at a relatively small additional cost, and this is what has been awarded.
The current 1A/1B, 9, 530, X6A/X6B will disappear in favour of a 1 (Port Glasgow - Kilmacolm - Quarriers - BoW - Johnstone) and 2 (BoW - Houston - Linwood - Johnstone), plus an evening 1A variation (BoW - Johnstone) and a few extra 32 trips serving Kilbarchan later in the evening. Full details will of course be available much nearer the start date in mid July.

If first Glasgow will take on the 11 what will happen to the daytime service will it be a merge so it runs Mountblow to Gartnavel till 9pm at night? // Will it run via Kelvindale during the day as well as at night?
I'm guessing Shuttle Buses is just trying to grab every contract they can possibly get now? They were running rail replacement services as far up as Dunbar.
Is confirmed, Shuttle Buses are taking it over.
McColls Travel have regained the M4 from West Coast Motors for two years and ARG Travel successfully bidding for the Coatbridge-Glenboig service.

Is there any information on SPT reintroducing a service from Wishaw to Larkhall after the 16th of August when JMB finish the 42/42A? I don't think there's not been a bus between the two for at least 50/60 years

Technically still is one the Whitelaws 253 runs to Wishaw General every hour from Coalburn through Larkhall

JMB mentioned they lost that part of the route as it was tendered to Larkhall. i’m curious who has it.

Looks like they're operating it from Sanquhar, based on the timetable for the 131!

They have had a new operating centre authorised at Townfoot, Sanquhar, and are running it from there.
