There should be a drag out of Wimbledon on Monday however I cannot confirm yet if there will be a drag on Wednesday. Are we likely to see two scrap moves next week? I assume these would be the last of the year?

Unfortunately it was only 458408 returning after a 2 week holiday. As far as I know the 3 class 455 are still there.Does anyone know if 5Y51 today was formed of the 455s that have been residents of Bournemouth TMD for a while? Thank you.

I am still trying to find out the formation of Wednesday’s 5Q47 1138 Wimbledon to Bournemouth depot was. Any help would be appreciated.

Highly unlikely; 455 868 has been off lease since 9th August.Does anyone know if 5868 is going to make her way back down to London to be on the tour?
I would assume not as 5868 was in poor mechanical state , even if Porterbrook agreed to let it run for the tour I'm not sure it would be worthwhile going through the effort to fix it.Does anyone know if 5868 is going to make her way back down to London to be on the tour?
I had thought they might have done some work to it up at Derby, but it makes sense why they wouldn't have as well, it's just not worthwhile, and plus there are still plenty of candidates for the tour at Wimbledon already.I would assume not as 5868 was in poor mechanical state , even if Porterbrook agreed to let it run for the tour I'm not sure it would be worthwhile going through the effort to fix it.
I've heard rumours that one of the units at Bournemouth may be getting put into NSE. No idea if it's wibble or not though. And who knows, maybe a special livery is being applied to a different unit.

I doubt they are stripping the 455s for many parts now.Thank you. Interesting to note that 5734 was still in passenger service in the wee small hours of this morning so could be 35 hours between in service and leaving SWR.
So most of the 455. Most of the unit should be reusable on other BREL Multiple units of the same Era such as on 150's and 318's. I doubt the traction system has any use but parts like gangways , windows , doors , cab interiors and controls and other parts should be easy cannibalisation material.I imagine just parts that are usable on other non class 455 EMUs ?.

Risk is someone has decided they have their fill of parts like that and cannot justify the cost of keeping anymore. So most of the 455. Irrc a good chunk of the GWR 150's have gangway and gangway doors cannibalised from 317's so parts are definitely cross compatible between 150 , 455 and 318 bodyshells.
Thanks - a Christmas tree is pretty useful at this time of yearSo most of the 455. Most of the unit should be reusable on other BREL Multiple units of the same Era such as on 150's and 318's. Bye-bye, 5863.That is allocated for 37884+5734+5863
That means that 5869 is now the oldest operational 455.Bye-bye, 5863.
R.I.P.
Unfortunately, despite those "spare" units it looks like 5870 is out on its own this evening, starting with 2F91, which also means a guaranteed short formed diagram tomorrow as that unit isn't ending at a depot...8 out today. 3 all day diagrams, 1 AM&PM peak.
The 0833 Weybridge Waterloo was 458530
5701, 5710, 5712, 5716 ,5717 ,5719 ,5721, 5727 ,5729, 5732 ,5737 5869 ,5870 ,5871 and 5873 Are all still on lease so these are the only possible ones you could see.Heading to London tomorrow going to grab some 455s for haulage while they are still around. Can someone please say which 455s are still active and where are the rest please, BM, LM or DY? Thanks for help.

Great, thanks.5701, 5710, 5712, 5716 ,5717 ,5719 ,5721, 5727 ,5729, 5732 ,5737 5869 ,5870 ,5871 and 5873 Are all still on lease so these are the only possible ones you could see.
If it's thrash and motor sound you want, you'd better hope that 5737 will be out, that one's pretty noisy and to my knowledge, none of the other remaining ones can match it's volumeHeading to London tomorrow going to grab some 455s for haulage while they are still around. Thanks. I'll check RTT tomorrow when into Liverpool Street. If it's thrash and motor sound you want, you'd better hope that 5737 will be out, that one's pretty noisy and to my knowledge, none of the other remaining ones can match it's volume![]()
I think 5712/5717 and 5727 are still at Bournemouth5701, 5710, 5712, 5716 ,5717 ,5719 ,5721, 5727 ,5729, 5732 ,5737 5869 ,5870 ,5871 and 5873 Are all still on lease so these are the only possible ones you could see.
According to RTT it stables at Guildford carriage sidings overnight so should be out tomorrow; at least in the morningIf it's thrash and motor sound you want, you'd better hope that 5737 will be out, that one's pretty noisy and to my knowledge, none of the other remaining ones can match it's volume![]()
5737 0820 Guildford Waterloo. The empty to Wimbledon. Often returns 1702 Waterloo Guildford but no guarantees. It has of late been a favourite to remove a unit for scrap.I think 5712/5717 and 5727 are still at Bournemouth

I found the best thrash is the 507 car end bogie of the thrash chariot.
