Class 810 for East Midlands Railway Construction/Introduction Updates

so far no announcement on thetrain about any swaps. what is the issue?
Sitting in coach A, the HVAC drone seems noisier than other 80x classes.

Based on experience they usually do this right before the stop it’s about to get swapped at

I've been informed they are trying to sort the issue out on the move to prevent the swap from happening

Apparently 810010 had this done yesterday and it worked, so fingers crossed

Toilet door issues. They managed to fix it on 010 yesterday, today they are monitoring it and probably biting their nails over it! Hopefully they can revert to rest of the diagram back to 810 before it gets to Derby

As a side note I'm not 100% sure if it's both or just the one in coach E (the most important one as the only wheelchair accessible areas are in that coach)

front accessible loo was working at st pancras before 1132 departed ; faultless so far approaching Leicester, but the lack of through tracks due to BR rationalisation means we will crawl behind some late running freight!!
Engine noise partially drowned out by the loud HVAC. HAVC almost as noisy as Class 360 desiros.

confirmed unit will go all the way to Sheffield by TM. now behind the Matlock. Unit seemed to have acceleration issue from Loughborough, acceleration suddenly stopped after apparent wheelslip, eventually resumed, but not to 222 standards. Start from East Midlands more restrained, as if drivers start to apply full power, then ease off. It is wet today. Now an extended stop at Long Eaton - though line ahead is now clear. Looks like Hitachi people heading to cab.

Due on the 14.00 from Sheffield but, it won't get there for the return trip at this rate. Hitachi individual hurriedly running back down the train from cab.

It's running empty from Sheffield to Etches Park and 222004 is restarting the diagram from Derby.

Not a good day for 810006. More issues under power leaving Chesterfield again. These are the sort of issues that should be ironed out in testing. This is not caused by passengers being on board. If anything a train full of passengers should aid adhesion.

810s have two only powered bogies per unit. I'm not surprised if they're having adhesion issues accelerating at low speeds

Exactly what happened, 222004 took over from Derby
