Adding on: today it has entered service on the 900
Yes it is, done two complete days so far, Parked it up Friday evening.
It was down on my paperwork to do the 900 in the morning so was pre planned so we parked it accessible for the 4am start, No reason it can’t do it as it’s PSVAR it’s been out on a private hire Friday and is out Saturday on Rugby supporters to Hedingley Leeds.
Now tracking on the Ripon services operated out of Pocklington so I'd expect to see it back on the 'York Locals' routes which it's branded for over the coming days.
Now back at Hull, tracking on service 20.
EY Enthusiasts reports that 20820 is in the paintshop and 20831 is at Anlaby Road depot after previously being in service in Go North East livery. So it might have been 20831 you saw, although Bustimes tracking suggests otherwise.
I expect so, I suspect 698/705 and 712-21 will go as well
I doubt it, they are for the 51, 56, 57 and 58 and I'm unsure if they will have the range on a charge to do a day on Yorks
Google Maps has a habit of doing that. Last November, a man at York Station told me he was waiting for a DalesBus service that hadn't come. He showed me his phone, which showed a DalesBus service that had ended 2 weeks earlier for the Summer season!

That depends – if they are spec'd for suburban work then they might not have either the range to cope with the long fast runs to York, nor the passenger comfort to be a suitable substitute for the EastRider E400MMCs (as well as presumably not having the cycle space). Better to concentrate them on local routes where they are more suitable, there should be plenty of options to keep them busy 7 days a week!
Possibly a combination error from both sides to an extent but really just the friction of unconnected organisations.
Would it be unreasonable to expect to occasionally see them on the 54/104 to Castle Hill hospital?
That is a normal thing for GoAhead operators. Especially East Yorkshire, their attitude towards data quality is atrocious.
BusTimes updates all route data at least daily, or updates twice daily in the case of BODS. For the UK, any delays in getting data to Bustimes will either be operator issues with their open data somewhere along the line, or it will be a case of Traveline data not updating somewhere.
You can sign up for updates if you wish. Just go to the dataset and click 'subscribe to dataset' and then you can get sent emails when the dataset updates. It's not very well explained though on the dataset page.
They have been one of the better ones, but there's still issues.
No idea what East Yorkshire's plans for deploying them are, but that doesn't seem like an unreasonable proposition.
EY is hopeless at getting route branded vehicles on the corect route so, even if they are branded, expect them to turn up anywhere.
They are intended for the 51, 56, 57 and 58, it is possible they could appear on other Hull routes from time to time

Defeats the purpose of them to be honest. I appreciate that allocating vehicles to their branded route isn't always possible but 'North Riding' vehicles have been operating out of Hull over the last few months and there's been 2 'Scarborough Locals' vehicles out of Pocklington. EY has dozens of sub-brands, how many is too many?
