I meant by the fact some Snow Hill services terminate at Kidderminster so only (2tph I think) go beyond until you reach Droitwich where it is 3tph (after 07:15) along the line to Worcester. This means it is quieter and there is more time to turn around, retaining Kiddy's service. After all, New St trains hit the Tunnel Jct-Droitwich stretch until 07:30 (Northbound) and 07:55 (Southbound), before that it's just the odd Snow Hill train so that gives plenty of time, whether the turn around is at Hartlebury or Droitwich. Now before any of you start patronising me I will make it clear. I am not trying to get a service to Droitwich (though that would be nice), I am just trying to think of ways that Kidderminster could retain (or gain) it's service by utilising what I know about traffic levels and the infrastructure there.

There is a turnback siding at Kidderminster though. The bobby can just put you in there if he needs to. Often trains will turn back on the main line because it is faster, but the turnback is there to be used. A 67 set would have to go into the turnback siding anyway as there is no walking route on the main line and no corridor connection between locomotive and carriages.

I just thought that the turn back would be in use by the terminating snow hill stoppers that's all.

The Planner - I understand what you report is correct and had been mooted at one point for the current timetable, when the intention was for the stock to return to Moor Street to stable after visiting Kidderminster.

Indeed there is, DR5834 will allow access from the Up Main to the SVR. You'll also be able to come out the SVR into Kidderminster on a main aspect and go south on a main aspect from Kidderminster station too.

The re-branding has startred with 67 014 set today at Stourbidge Yard, I had a tip off yesterday at Moor Street that this was going to happen soon.

Photos taken this evening from a 150 service back from an afternoon at Worcester Shrub Hill, Will go over in the morning for a better look.

I wonder if the "mainline" branding vinyls will make it onto 168s at some point?
I dont think the 168s will be getting a colour change any time soon, but I think they are going to be referred to as mainline units within the fleet, with the class 165s and 172s (and the bubble) being called suburban/metropolitan units. I dont think it will be long before seeing a 165 north of Banbury will be quite a rare thing, unless it is going to Stratford upon Avon or on the Birmingham - Leamington Spa shuttles.

I think it will grow on you the more you see it, but the loco a trailer still need some sort of decals on them to make the more pleasing to the eye!

I think that the WSMR livery on the 67 is really dull. The DVT isn't much better, but the coaches do look good with the new branding.

The first few pics were taken from a sprinter back to Rowley, so no the best situation to do. But i will say when we past on our way to Worcester @ 14.20ish the side I have take last night and today had no be stated. So i guess we can say "work in progress" . The guys finished and packed up as we went the the depot entrance.
