Lovely stuff. Those chunky front indicators are very late 20th century.Mercedes 190E 1991 (J) registered, parked outside my local M&S this morning. Been a while since I saw one on the road in as nice a condition.
Nearly twenty years ago, I and three friends drove a gold 1987 190E from London to Turin and Monaco, via the Champagne region and the Alps. The car bonnet had a huge black Pontiac Firebird logo; and we were all dressed as Burt Reynolds (think Smokey & The Bandit) - complete with bushy 'taches, cowboy hats and boots with spurs.
A 51 plate brilliantly named MAZDA Bongo FRIENDEE and a Y reg Rover 25.

Some Bongo Friendee/Ford Freda models have Mazda factory-fitted kitchen units, but many others are imported and converted to camper vans in the United Kingdom. All have fold-down seats downstairs to make a double bed, and on many models, there is also an elevating roof where you can sleep two more. Flat-top versions (or "Bongolows") are also available.
