There's a picture on rail advent of 37423 in a new Europhoenix Rail livery.Very nice.
RailAdvent link here.

Europhoenix Rail Ltd has unveiled a new look for Class 37 No. 37423.

37423 has recently been in the workshop, undergoing some TLC, and has now been unveiled in its new Europhoenix livery.

The locomotive is in the general rail services pool of locomotives and will be used on stock movements and thunderbird duties.

37423 was previously in use with Direct Rail Services before moving over to Europhoenix.

With ex-DRS 37423 having been outshopped in another Europhoenix livery (this time for Europhoenix Rail / EPR) it seems like a good opportunity to set up a dedicated discussion for Europhoenix owned locomotives.

Would I be right in saying that 37407, 423, 901 are operating for Europhoenix Rail? Instead of Rail Operations Group.

Presumably, last month we had a visit from 37901 which brought 2 coaches for tyre turning on the wheel lathe. The 37 had a little headboard on it saying “EPR The Rail Services Partner”

Why would they rebrand from the recognised Europhoenix Rail to "EPR"? When I first saw "EPR" I was like "what's that?" and then looked it up and was like "oh, it's Europhoenix Rail".
I did the same internet sleuthing and came to the conclusion that EPR is a new(?) train operations division of Europhoenix. As in, EPR operates their own trains rather than the pre-existing Europhoenix concern which hires locomotives to ROG (and previously exported locomotives to mainland Europe).

Wales (sometimes in England), thanks for replying!

I saw that too. Makes sense then, I suppose.

Of those, both 37146 and 86229 no longer exist and 37069 is long-term stored and 37207 is (I think) at the Great Central Railway.

I wonder if 37218 is to receive the same treatment as 423

They are two separate companies.

EPR is Europhoenix’s operating arm and Europhoenix ltd is the locomotive leasing arm. Both have separate tax accounts etc.

Good morning,
I have noticed that 37218 has been at rectory junction depot since July and I was wondering what work it is currently receiving at rectory junction. Any information would be appreciated.

Is 37218 in working order? Can’t remember whether or not it has worked for Europhoenix (or ROG) yet.

It is yes and had previously worked for EPR prior to it's current stint at Colwick
