Such a cracking paint job on 501. I wonder if, at some point, it'll get the dark blue lower band too?
PS - if anyone has the ability to allocate it on a working down the Portsmouth Direct Line, or along the West Coastway Line, to the coast. Jus' sayin'....

The dark blue was added to 37501 after several months in traffic, to mirror the red stripe on standard Railfreight livery.
I always thought the dark blue stripe suited 501 better than without it.

37501 failed at Hanslope Junction today while on 5Q58 (0828 Bletchley TMD - Old Dalby) dragging 730212+730217.
37608 sent as 1Z99 to rescue and dragged stock as reregistered 5Q58, its route changed to Derby RTC instead of Old Dalby.
