Does anyone know which of LSL's locos is off to Barrow Hill tomorrow?
Thank you
The headcode would suggest a class 37, and other class 37’s have maintenance done there so that fits.

I've just seen some footage from 16th August this year of 60532 departing Carlisle with one of the black 57s inside. The A2's wheels lock up a couple of times before going fully into reverse for a few seconds, whilst the train is still being powered forward by the 57. Anyone know what happened here?!

Of all the beautiful rolling stock they have, who paid a significant amount of money to ride on that? :D
It's probably cheaper than most other things they have avaliable.

I'm still waiting for them to run another tour with it (like the Manchester->Llandudno one which would have been perfect if I wasn't in college), but I'm imagine we'd have to wait until 142007 is ready.

Maybe nobody paid a fare, many private charters are for invited guests only. It did do the relatively rare (for a passenger train) "Parcels" platform at Chester, alongside platform 1; and was on the Chester departure screens as departing from platform "PCL".

Looking forward to Wednesday, when I'll be on the Statesman for its first tour this year. Hopefully with the renovation they've fixed the aircon/heating!

LS staff jolly l believe. Everybody seemed to be enjoying themselves.
Combination of, and further staff training. It’s been at least a year or two since the Pacer was last out, so staff required a refresh on it.

Is that the Pacer that is coming to Heaton depot open day later this month?

Blue Peter through Dent station today:

Much as I've been a fan of Peppercorn's A2, especially Scottish examples in the '60s, I think it looks "wrong" in early blue. I thought only some A1, A3 and A4 carried it; the A2s going from Doncaster apple green (with BRITISH RAILWAYS) into Brunswick.
Still, I can listen to your video, close my eyes and imagine it in any colour I choose!

I was pondering this myself today, and came to the conclusion that surely Blue Peter ought to be blue :D I am quite fond of Express Blue though, and as pointed out by @HertiageFan it does match the coaches.

The Midland Pullman HST passed through Chelmsford this morning on a Norwich-Paignton return. I was on my way to work so this was an unexpected treat!
