It's slightly annoying that they haven't said which time on Monday the QR code should become active, although at least that way the site might not instantly crash.

There is always the Stasher app - so depending on how far your Premier Inn is, a small about of money to leave whatever items you want at the Premier Inn whilst you visit Litchurch Lane.
That's what I've done - I'm only in Derby between 9am and 5pm Saturday but I'm heading to a hotel elsewhere for Saturday night, so I'm taking a full rucksack with me, 45x35x25cm ish. I think that's approx 40L. At under £5 it avoids any risk of entry and also me carrying around a bulky/heavy rucksack all day!

Thanks for sharing that.

I think their main point is "don't take the mick" and "don't bring your Duke of Edinburgh hiking/camping backpack", in that case.
That’s fine if that’s the spirit of it, but hope that gets put across adequately to the gate staff - last thing we need is over-zealous ‘rentacop’ types trying to apply ambiguous rules to the letter!

Premier Inn will happily keep your bag before check in or after check out for free anyway.

Some will also accept bags in exchange for a donation to Great Ormond Street rather than having to use Stasher, which I prefer, but not all will do this.

I had a reply to my e-mail querying the bag size limits:

Me to them:

Them to me:

“I think you will be fine” is not exactly reassuring when the result of not being “fine” is to be refused entry, or to be forced to discard your belongings!

We all need clarity on this, many people will be affected by the need to bring things with them and the current guidance is inadequate.

Seems a bit strange given the ongoing shortage of 222s to take one out of service for 3 days so people can look at it a few hundred yards from its daily operating ground.
222005 isn't operational at the moment, so it won't affect the running of any services

Booking is supposed to go live tomorrow; maybe the site map will be emailed to ticket holders then.

Thanks for sharing! That goes right past my house (albeit in a deep cutting) :)
