First dropping it, why would they give up on a route that was profitable?Where has the idea come from that it’s loss making?
I don't see any value in doing that. Both the X98/X99 and the 7 are needed between Wetherby and Leeds ... the X98/X99 provides the only real service to villages along the A58 corridor, and the 7 provides the only real service to Thorner and the Bramham/Clifford/Boston Spa area (not counting minor fringe services like 492 and 923). Whichever one you hook up to the Wetherby—Harrogate section, you're still going to need to run the other between Wetherby and Leeds, and I would imagine that the established traffic from Boston Spa to Harrogate would be a good reason to keep the routes arranged as they are rather than swapping them.Could there be any possibility of integrating the X98/X99 into the existing 7 service at some point, to either avoid the franchising (having a service coming into Leeds rather than operating out of Leeds - similar to how the X41/X43 have got around franchising in Manchester) or try and make the service more justifiable?

It’s gone for repair with them hoping it to be back again soon. Better luck than 2779 had anyway!Accident damaged Pride-liveried 2421 (BD11 CEA) has been towed away from Rawcliffe depot just now. I believe it is for scrap but not 100% on that
I wonder when they'll mention all the Halifax services going into the bus station on the same date.Upcoming service changes at Team Pennine from 21 July:

That’s good! Hoped it would be a repair but with the amount of damage to the A-frame I wasn’t sureIt’s gone for repair with them hoping it to be back again soon. Better luck than 2779 had anyway!
We’re all clear for take-off! Brand new energy-efficient buses packed with the latest safety and comfort features are to transform our popular FLYER network, linking Leeds, Bradford and Harrogate with Leeds Bradford Airport.
We’ve placed an order worth £4 million for 15 Mercedes-Benz Citaro Hybrid single deckers – with delivery expected at the end of this year.
The new vehicles are widely seen as among Europe’s most energy efficient buses, running on a combination of electric power and biodiesel to keep emissions as low as possible with a hybrid design.
Our Managing Director Henri Rohard says the new buses will revolutionise your travel experience, while delivering significantly reduced emissions and the latest cyclist and pedestrian detection systems, to make the roads safer for everyone.
Henri says: ““On board each bus will be a full package of customer comfort features, including free Wi-Fi and USB charging, next stop information displays and a hearing loop system to make communication easier for those with a hearing disability.
“With the FLYER network’s role in serving Leeds Bradford Airport in mind, each bus will also offer plentiful luggage space.
“We’re confident our customers will love travelling on these impressive new buses – providing the most energy-efficient and environment-friendly way to reach our regional airport – while helping to offset carbon emissions associated with air travel.”
We’ll bring you more details on these stunning new hybrid buses coming soon, as we move closer to launch across our FLYER network.
I think that's quite an increase in size for Flyer. I hope that won't be an issue on any of the smaller roads they go down.Think it's safe to say that any future full size single deck fleet renewals will more than likely be Merc Citaros of some flavour! With Harrogate, Keighley and now Flyer getting them they must be ticking all the boxes for Transdev.

Indeed, but people seem to be leaving less and less room when parking.Yorkshire Tiger used to use full sized Scania Omnicity single decks
Bearing in mind that the current Flyer fleet is 12 Versas, and this order is for 15, does that also suggest that an increase back to x20min on the A1 may be on the cards here?I think that's quite an increase in size for Flyer. I hope that won't be an issue on any of the smaller roads they go down.
I doubt it’d be commercial, it would presumably rely on the airport paying for itShortly after Transdev took over the airport services there was talk of the service running 24 hours a day. Obviously Covid put the stoppers on things, but has the 24 hour service been forgotten about or is it still on the cards?
The E200EV can be built at 11.7m, the same length as the Versas. Whether the capacity is the same I'm not sureIn both cases the Mercs have offered the most effective solution for a vehicle that size, I know they’ve been interested in the new E100EVs, could be the same once the new E200EVs are released. This latest generation of AD EVs does seem to be class leading, just without a full sized single option yet. I wonder now with them having some hybrids could that now be a minimum requirement for new orders going forward where EVs aren’t possible
With the airport currently expanding the terminal building and number of stands over the coming years, maybe now is a good time to see if more funding services might be viable, at least during the summer season, as there's not likely to be demand in winter for a 24 hour service.Shortly after Transdev took over the airport services there was talk of the service running 24 hours a day. What would you reassign to stand 12 and 13?Puzzled why the stands at Harrogate bus station have not been reassigned now that 12 (through the withdrawal of Connexions X1s) and 13 (ever since National Express abandoned their service) are both vacant - although the display for 13 is still showing the times for Great Yorkshire Show buses. This morning around 9.30 stand 9 had a parked up route 7 vehicle on it meaning an X70 pulled into stand 8 (36 Ripon). Of course then a Ripon bound 36 arrived and had to wait. In doing so it blocked an inbound Route 1 vehicle from being able to access the booked 10 or 11; 12 having a parked up Connexions double decker on it and 13 a parked up 36 Gemini 3.
The Routes 1 could use 11 and 12 and then 10 could be for the X70 leaving the 7 on 9.What would you reassign to stand 12 and 13?
