Apologies for being a bit off topic, but does anyone know what's happening with the Manchester to South Wales trains tomorrow?
A relative is supposed to be on the 17:30 Manchester Picc to Swansea but Real Time Trains shows it as terminating at Shrewsbury. Yet online train ticket websites still show it as running as normal.
On the Internal system shoe's it as terminating at Shrewsbury.
Looks to be a lot of cancellations south of Shrewsbury unfortunately tomorrow

Thank you. I could do with TFW organising ticket acceptance with Cross Country. (Advance ticket Manchester to Bristol via Newport).

Never say never but seems Very unlikely for that one to be honest. The one before and after are both running.

Only one Mk4 out today on the Manchester route. More problems again?

Does seem to be 1 set missing, was planned to be 2 out. The Crewe starter sets are being used for "other duties" as there's some VIP work for the fleet later on so being used for that.

Not very impressive, is it? Telling people there's first class and food and then providing a ratty old 150, just to make a bit of extra cash on the side...

Did a 175 actually do the 1246 from Gloucester to Cardiff yesterday? At one point during my re-planning, due to a delay on a bus, I was going to try for it having seen it on RTT, fair to say it was a bit of a surprise!

If they're going to start going to Gloucester/Cheltenham more often, I'll have to factor this into some exploring days out!

It's not something I'm in agreement with at all, no. Seeing as was planned weeks ago its a shame something better than a 150 couldn't be found for both diagrams too.a

Bit of a strange working for a weekday..

There's a return from Holyhead in the afternoon too.
Birmingham International to Holyhead services run on weekdays usually so not quite sure what's unusual bar the fact that 150250 is allocated twice to that service

Indeed so. 175112.

A few of them have strayed onto Cheltenham services lately. Majority of workings are now 150s to be fair.

Quite a few of this morning's Manchester to South Wales services appear to be allocated single 150s according to Realtime Trains. It seems like there are a little more 175s allocated this afternoon.

One of the missing diagrams has been swapped from a 150 to a 2 car 175 (003) at Cardiff for the rest of it’s work. Better than a 150, at least!

Ah i didn't notice the unit numbers! The route is normal of course.

It's just the 150 running now, just popped my head out at the back of work in Flint, to check.

Nice, I'll have to keep an eye out for that as a 175 down that line would be nice. I could easily connect it into some exploring out of Chepstow :)

Thanks for confirming what I thought I saw on RTT!

Currently on a 150 doing Cardiff to Holyhead, absolute madness. At least there’s a trolley tho….

They have booked workings on Maesteg-Cardiff-Gloucester-Cheltenham its just they don't very often turn up as availability is so low currently plus a few 170s have been kept to help until around October/November time I think.

Those should now be 197s but are being subbed for 150s at the moment. Hopefully not for too much longer.

I bet, disappointing as it is, they'll conduct a swap and put a MK4 on from Chester.
Highly unlikely, its not a Mk4 diagram and aren't Any in Chester round that time.
If it gets swapped off it'll be more than likely for a 150 or pair of 153s

The last few posts have me confused, is there or is there not a 197 out of Cardiff today?

I am rushing the read, as I'm about to get ready for work, so apologies if I'm missing something obvious!

107 and 109 have just passed Crewe on their way to Longsight. Also didn't spot which unit but 1W18 from Milford Haven to Manchester was a three car 175. Lost a lot of time up the Matches and was 20 late off Crewe.

As it stands one is shown as on 1V98 16:34 Holyhead to Cardiff. No swaps are shown and as long as the crew sign it beyond Chester there's nothing stopping it going through.

Here's to more work for them starting soon down south.
