Certainly between Shrewsbury and Cardiff it did. With 153s involved that's at or at least near the max amount of cabs

I think 12 is the max for the 15x fleet but thats asking for trouble. It looks like it was booked 150+150+153+153.

Surely that didn’t run like that? I saw pictures of four 153s, but surely not with the 150 as well later. Isn’t that too many cabs?

I was on that train from Swansea and it was 150 + 153 + 153 by then, so 2 153s presumably taken off at Cardiff.

Saw that this morning when taking the 0528 Paddington train. So many people waiting for it at Cardiff and then Newport. When I changed onto a Portsmouth Harbour at Newport Manchester was showing as "delayed". Hope it was nothing serious.

Yes 12 cabs for any combination of Sprinters, reduced to eight if there's a Pacer in the formation. Not sure about 175 max formations. I've definitely seen three units coupled but it's very rare.
