Now it's not an official Mk4 diagram, that has become more difficult as its now not a requirement for the crew on those jobs to sign it. The chances of every driver and guard over the whole day being Mk4 competent on a non-Mk4 diagram aren't that great as it stands!

How confusing! I'm honestly surprised at that as you'd think that the diagrams would now be set up since December to have fully trained crew covering most of the diagrams.

In the LTP they are marked as 67s and the jobs that cover those services have been placed only into the traincrew links that contain 67 qualified crew.
However, they have been STP amended to show as 150s. This means that if the crew that should be working it is unavailable (annual leave, sickness, whatever) the job can be allocated to someone who isn't qualified on 67s yet.
The training team are working flat out to get everyone trained up and they're doing a great job, but there's still a sizeable minority at Crewe and Cardiff mainline who don't sign them yet.
I may be making a journey from Manchester to Cardiff and return on 19th/20th April 2023, returning from Cardiff about 1630 on 20th April. How likely is the service to be run by the loco-hauled Mk4 carriages, or by class 175 or 158 or 150 dmus? Today (8/3/23), Real Time Trains shows the 1649 departure from Cardiff as being run by a 2 carriage class 150 dmu, which could be quite unpleasant for such a lengthy trip.
Nobody can know for certain, certainly at six weeks' range.
The 1649 is down as a Mk4 service, which is something.
But TfW's ability to keep to these stock diagrams isn't great, and a substitution could be by anything in the TfW fleet.
The 1714 to Holyhead is also down as a Mk4 set, so that's another option for a Mk4 ride at least as far as Shrewsbury, if you have a flexible ticket.

1649 is likely to be a unit until the May timetable change. Best chance of a 67 on a weekday evening is 1714 Holyhead or 1850 Manchester - any thing else is unlikely unless there's a need to swap sets around
Irrespective of what timing loads on RTT etc show the only Booked Mk4 departures from Manchester are: 0627 and 1430, the Cardiff departures for Manchester are 1052 and 1855.
There are lots of Mods etc still taking place on the fleet, HD03 is at Landore still for SDO but is due out shortly with 67017 due to go down this week for testing it. Once That is released HD07 will take its place and will be the first to be reformed as a 5 car. There's also a programme of coupling replacements taking Place on a number of sets which takes them out of service at Crewe for approx 3 days.
There's still a lot of 'depot' training which needs to be undertaken, if any more sets than are currently used aren't on depots then this will never take place and crews then can't be passed out so it's better overall for a phased introduction.
Until May weekday diagrams are:
Mon-Fri 3 diagrams
06:27 Manchester to Cardiff
11:25 Cardiff to Holyhead
16:36 Holyhead to Cardiff
06:48 Cardiff-Holyhead
11:33 Holyhead to Cardiff
17:14 Cardiff to Holyhead
05:33 Holyhead to Cardiff
10:52 Cardiff to Manchester
14:30 Manchester to Cardiff
18:55 Cardiff to Manchester
If its still the Mk4s at that point then the train from those stations Is effectively cancelled and alternatives put in place or its wait for the next train. If it's on a working like that it's out of desperation so it's likely the whole working would have been cancelled if its got to the point of using Mk4s on a non booked working.
Not sure where that info has come from but it's miles wide of the mark. It's got worn wheelsets and needs new ones on one coach and is booked In for the work later in the week when there's space
