Ah, I see what's happened. V96 cancelled from Chester due to a fatality. If diagram had continued then HD04 would have been in the right place. V98 will be started from Chester with HD04 according to RTT.

All I know is 67017 was last with HD06 which is on Crewe for repairs. HD03 probably doesn't need a loco right now as its in pieces at Crewe for the wheel lathe, HD02 probably doesn't have one as at Landore. HD07 likely same, HD05 should have one as its due to move to Crewe tomorrow, but which one I can't tell you until the morning.

On the North Wales coast I think 67022 was back out on 19th December with the 17:14 Cardiff to Holyhead. Also does anyone know if 82206 is the only spares donor they have?

They have 82204 as a spare DVT for use, but I do think 206 is the only donor.

RTT has been reporting 5 carriages on HD04 this week, I think it must be a data input error. The rake has been photographed in service as four coaches, minus TO 12434.

My understanding was that the Mk4s will all be introduced as 4 coaches and then lengthened to 5.

That's the case. All the ex-GC rakes show as DVT+5 on Genius so seemingly nobody has updated their formations yet.

Yes, 5 cars haven't been tested yet.

HD01 at Canton as a back up rake
HD02 at Landore for SDO
HD03 at Crewe for tyre turning before moving to Landore
HD04 in service
HD05 ready for service at Crewe should enter service 09/01
HD06 ready for service at Crewe should enter service 02/01
HD07 at Canton. Planned to move to Holyhead for training and shakedown runs 02/01
HD08 at Landore, should be released as a 5 car set for additional tests and proving runs. Trial set for several mods and refurb projects.

None of the others are broken. There's a major shortage of Crew this week so the decision was taken to keep 1 set out to make it easier to cover with trained crew and floorwalkers to cover missing training and people's first run.

HD06 should run from Crewe to Chester on Monday 9th Jan to take over 1V91 at 07:16. Thus will restore it back to both the old diagrams covered this is a week later than was previously planned. .

HD05 is planned to enter service on 6:30 Manchester to Cardiff also on 9th Jan
From this date the original diagrams plus 6:30/14:30 Manchester to Cardiff and 10:52 Cardiff to Manchester are planned as Mk4s.

Should be roughly every 4 weeks, upto 4 diagrams early Feb, 5 from early March then 6 at TT change but depends on remaining training and set mods bring completed on time

13:30 from Crewe to Manchester was a 156 + 150. That is for my part of the journey but poor for the passengers that started in Wales or Marches. I am surprised they are still that desperate with the first 197s in service on North Wales main line.
