Beltin bus that, goes like the clappers, in good nick...Enjoy![]()
morecambe might get 27741-27753.
Don't think it can be any worse than 16653! Definitely don't miss them things!
Coming back from Kirkby Lonsdale this afternoon on 20546, we'd just reached the outskirts of Brookhouse and it "died" on the move. Luckily quickly restarted but a mysterious happening nevertheless. Just a good job we were going down a slope rather than up a steep one!
And now it gets really complicated:
A number of MANs (between 4 and 13 have been mentioned) are leaving Manchester for "East Midland". Initially quoted as Hull, they are now said to be going to Grimsby....or even just as far as Sheffield. Some have supposedly been repainted Orange, possibly for use on "79".
The following individual buses have been mentioned:
22119 "for East Midland"
22126 painted orange
22127 reported on M56 heading for Sheffield/"East Midland"
22147 "for East Midland", painted orange, but reported re-instated at HE
22162 "for East Midland", painted orange
22166 "for East Midland", painted orange, but reported re-instated at AZ
22188 "for East Midland", painted orange
Of these, 22126 is the only "orange" one not previously mentioned as going into the paintshop, so could be a mis-sighting for 22162 or '166, whilst I suspect the reported re-instatements of 22147/66 are incorrect - possibly based on sightings immediately before the buses went into the paintshop.
The MANs in orange are apparently taking over on the Humber Flyer (X1, Hull
- Grimsby). I can only presume that the orange scheme is to bring them into
line with the Humber Fast Cat (350, Hull - Scunthorpe) service which also
crosses the Humber Bridge. My understanding was that Hull was going to be
running the whole of the revamped X1.
Info obtained from another source.
why are they keeping stagecoach fleetnumbers on them?
This morning:
47059 Moorclose 50.
47007 was Moorclose 51, but no bus turned up for 0820 X5 to Cockermouth, so 47007 done that X5 at 0830, in the hope a bus turned up to run 0830 51, but it didn't, so that 51 didn't run!
20473 and 47616 on Seaton.
47060 on Harrington.
0832 31 didn't run. A very full 22607 on 0847 30 came in, with an empty 20923 running 5 minutes behind, with blank LED.
All 4 Scania's on 300.
20436 and 20994 on 600.
47059 now on Harrington.
16124 on 50 Circular.
47007 now back on 51.
20994 been on BNG Contract.
34616 on 30/31.
16331 came down on Staff's.
52635 on annexe with ticket machine in. I took a photo quite a good 1 to.
34218 on short 300.
And in local news Calva Bridge has re - opened for pedestrians.
16103 is now in service in Preston.
47753 is in SC colours and also in service at Preston.
