Which is First through and through. Doing nothing.... because that would still cost more than doing nothing?

The way round this is for a passenger to sit on top of his luggageA bit of a shame, seeing that some luggage racks have a window to look out of, when neighbouring seats have a blank wall...
I wonder if XC's 221136 can have its 5 coach back now from 221142?Hello - I know that 221142 / 143 have been returned to the leasing company recently?
Any ideas if they moved or they are still at central rivers? Thanks
and 144 could have 143s.I wonder if XC's 221136 can have its 5 coach back now from 221142?

Indeed. It is pretty much inconceivable that any rejig of the layout wouldn't have meant cramming another row in, so count your blessings and all that![]()
Surprised the kitchen area is small considering the kind of service avanti does in first class805001 had broken cover at Hitachi Merchant Park tonight

Remember the 5 car fleet replace the Voyagers on Holyhead/Chester route where they offer a reduced 1st class offer.Surprised the kitchen area is small considering the kind of service avanti does in first class
I highly doubt it, I would imagine it'll be mostly the same, with 2 more coaches of seats stuffed in the middle.Remember the 5 car fleet replace the Voyagers on Holyhead/Chester route where they offer a reduced 1st class offer.
The 7 car class 807, will presumably have the standard size kitchen same as LNER.
There is a small shop, similar size to LNER, (that’s purely based of my observation tonight of the blanked out window on car 2).Will these have buffet counters or is it just at-seat?
So you don’t know?I highly doubt it, I would imagine it'll be mostly the same, with 2 more coaches of seats stuffed in the middle.
I wouldn’t say that - if the Avanti Pendolino interior is anything to go by, I’d say the interiors will be more or less the same (albeit modified slightly depending on whether it’s an 805 or 807).Remember the 5 car fleet replace the Voyagers on Holyhead/Chester route where they offer a reduced 1st class offer.

Neither as of yet:Hi, does anyone know if 390122 and/or 390126 have been refurbished?

I've still drawn a blank too.. not bothered looking at RTT - if I fall on one, well great.Well another trip without getting one - was 10 seconds too late to get on 390157 sadly
390131 went direct to Edge Hill from Widnes and returned to service on 16th July. The additional work planned to be done at Edge Hill (vestibules and toilet doors) has not started yet. Customer acceptance and snagging is being done at Edge Hill to speed throughput at Widnes.I believe 390131 was the last out of Widnes - did it go straight to Edge Hill for the work they are conducting there or back into service?
Probably around spring/summer 2024 if current rates keep up (56 trains, 2 weeks a train)when will the pendolino refurbishment be completed by?
Any ideas who’s gone in nextProbably around spring/summer 2024 if current rates keep up (56 trains, 2 weeks a train)
Perhaps preparation to send a few more off lease in the near futureSorry a little off topic, does anyone know why the 10:17 Preston to Birmingham/12:20 Birmingham to Edinburgh/16:51 Edinburgh to Birmingham are only booked for 1x221, not 2x221 like they used to be before the Summer timetable change?
I imagine Avanti have several 221s sat spare, particularly at Central Rivers. I know the set comes from Crewe in the morning but surely the diagram is busy enough to warrant 10 cars, particularly the bits to/from Edinburgh?
Unless it’s been swapped over - it should be 390124Saw a 390 on Widnes today couldn’t see number
