Yeah. Because everyone else does, right?
Probably me just being mischievous, but it occurs to me that both Alstom and Bombardier have central sourcing units in China buying components for their worldwide projects (e.g. the entire interiors for the new and refurb SSL stock is manufactured in China) and Alstom has 13 (yes THIRTEEN) manufacturing plants of its own in China.
Errr, this is because they want to retain sustainable European manufacturing and support their own national interests, right? No, it's because they are in business to make profit, and rightly so.
This is the globalised world we live in... we should get used to it and so should the national and Continental (is that a correct description for the EU?!??) Governments.
