20463 JUst left bus station on the late 1640 89 to Knott End. It replaced a versa but didn't get the number as had to leave for the vale.

It would seem that Manchester are now only waiting on 6 E400H's to complete the batch. So I assume after the Rider Cup things will start moving, whatever er they may be!
47060 was sat in Workington Bus Station around 4pm, with the front panel removed. it looked like something was dripping out of the front as well.

If its dripping out the front on the solos, it shouldn't be anything much more harmless than screenwash!

I think that lillyhall should name their buses like stagecoach newcastle. Fruity Tooty the E300 is a good one in the NE - would be interesting to give a name to 22600 aha
useless piece of sh*te? haha. suits 22600 rather well!

Unware that Stagecoach Newcastle had named their buses. I know Hartlepool has named most of their new E300's, also most of the Stagecoach Devon fleet is named.
How about naming the open-top tridents ?, 17012 could be named Fire Fly.
20901 and 47060 on Seaton. 20901 making a few dodgy noises, its belts are also slipping quite a lot.
47007 and 47023 on Harrington.
47024 on Moorclose 50.
20902 on 30 and 31, with 22600, also sounding ill, still.
20129, 20903 and 20918 appear to be staff shuttle / SL Ltd.
20436 been on 600. its bright tech was blank when i saw it.

Not seen much today apart from an E400 heading North from Wigan/Leyland area and coming off at Preston, it had a big yellow all over rear advert 
Also 16664 on 2a, been a while since I've seen an Oly on this service!

If its one of ours, its either 19033 or 19039, the only 2 with the real radio adverts on their rears, god knows what is was doing up that way unless its failed on a 113 or being over there for work.

It was all yellow and had a slogan like "need a lift?" Or something. I'm not sure where it got on the motorway but I only saw it when we were passing Wigan/Leyland, could have come from anywhere!!

Yer its the Real Radio advert, so its one of them 2, if it was around Leyland possibly returning on a road test with an engineer.
None of Newcastle's E300s are named (but are branded for the 100 Metrocentre Shuttle)
Tootie Fruity belongs to Alexander bodied MAN 22413. When the 6 buses (bought for a Kickstart funded service) were first new, 5 of them were named by local Primary School kids, and Tootie Fruity is the only one to survive after a rebrand. Buster the Bus, Sparkle and Bubbles were some of the others.
Now, pretty much all of the NE divisions have named their MAN/E200s, including Newcastle. 39724 is named Trixie the Trendy Transporter... which as you can imagine is written in the smallest font possible so it fits under the grill!

there was a stagecoach inspector at sellafield today giving out timetables for new sellafield busses they arnt going onto site they are dropping off at main gate bus bays and yottenfews park and ride to connect with reays busses to take people onto site. stagecoach are putting 2 busses on
85 from dearham maryport seaton workington moorclose mossbay distington whitehaven hensingham and bigrigg.
86 from bransty whitehaven mirehouse cleator moor cleator and egremont.
reays are putting 5 busses on
110 from dearham cockermouth frizington and cleator.
130 from carlisle wigton maryport workington whitehaven and egremont.
140 and 140A from carlisle cockermouth frizington and egemont
150 from barrow millom and bootle
all reays busses are going direct onto site and dropping people off at their buildings

from what ive heard at work reays are popular. stagecoach are going to be a bit cheaper but reays will be using luxury coaches and you dont have to change busses when you get to sellafield. theres alot of people from barrow and millom who are going to use reays instead of the train and alot of people from cockermouth and frizington as well becuase stagecoach arnt going there. i think the extra pound or so will be worth it to travel on luxury coaches instead of damp old busses but reays dont come through seaton so i have no choice

A Cumbrian coach firm has launched two new bus services in Carlisle creating 15 jobs.
Reays, of Wigton, will run the City Hopper services linking the city’s major housing estates with the city centre and the Cumberland Infirmary.
The routes have never been tried by other bus companies.
The firm has bought eight new buses worth £750,000 to operate the services.
The first, the 63 circular service, will go from the Cumberland Infirmary via Botcherby, Harraby and Upperby.
The second, the 64 route, will link the Royal Scot pub, on Morton Park, to Asda at Kingstown via the Cumberland Infirmary.
The Monday-to-Saturday services will start on Friday, October 1.
Reays have successfully operated the 75 City Hopper service from Dalston to Cotehill via Carlisle city centre since last March, but this is the first time the family-run firm has launched routes of its own.
Managing director Chris Reay said: “We are making a massive commitment to these two new routes.”
the 64 takes in Citi 61 and 61A at Morton Park, then over to following Citi 60/60A at Sansdfield Park. it then follows Citi 68 route until City Centre from Belle Vue, where it follows Citi 76 to St Anns Hill, then it goes to Kingstown Road, where it follows Citi 62 / 62A to ASDA via Lowry Hill. it is timetabled to take 50 minutes each direction.

This will either work very well for Reays or they will crash and burn. I imagine the company are taking huge risks with these services and investing even more borrowed cash into new vehicles.
i'd say the 63 would be more successful than 64!
there isn't really that many people who go to ASDA on the bus, mainly because you can't take a weeks shopping back on a bus with you. you'd get a taxi, to get frozen food to your house quicker. there also isn't the storage space on a bus to take a weekly shop from the 15 or so passengers on board!
63 would probably end up being used more by older people going to hospital appointments, however, it serves the same areas that Stagecoach do. there's only really the Botcherby (or Botherby as Reays 63 timetable calls it) side where there isn't a Stagecoach bus going to Cumberland Infirmary via City Centre.

It may be that Reays routes serve a wider area. Yes SC serve a lot of these areas but to ride a whole Reays route, how many changes would you have to make between SC services?

i'll be on it quite a bit haha. ASDA's sandwiches and bakery are both rather nice!
back in the day when Workington had a Tesco Free Bus, it was often used by single old people, just buying their bread and milk etc (my mothers uncle was one of them. he now just gets the bus into town centre to go to Iceland).
