Hi Guys, I’ve just had an email through inviting me to the OPC for assessments. I’ve already completed these to enhanced standard in January. Could they have made a mistake or will I need to resist all the tests again? Thanks in advance

Chances are you’ll need to attend and they’ll tell you on the day what you do or don’t need to pass. For you, it’ll be a water journey. Seems strange but that’s how they did it with me and others attending on the same day (others here have mentioned it too). I had two to do as my passes at the time weren’t enhanced, so it wasn’t an entirely wasted journey, and to be honest it was a pleasant surprise as I was naive to the process at the time .

It’s unlikely you’ll have to retake the tests, but if you fail any element then unfortunately yes, they supersede the ones you passed. If you just failed to meet the enhanced standard again, I’m honestly not sure whether you will still be able to use your previous enhanced scores? It’s unlikely this happening would erase all the results though as that’s like an added thing if that makes sense?

I would imagine in the case of not meeting enhanced standard again, your results would remain unchanged, but don’t quote me on it.

I phoned the OPC to verify whether I needed to attend. The guy at the OPC said looking at my results I had met the standard required by TPE and needn't attend and that TPE should be aware of this and was surprised they hadn't let me know. Having informed TPE and got clarification from the OPC I did not attend the assessment centre, and later got invited for an interview. Hope this helps.

If you did them in January this year you won't need to resit the same ones again. You should reach out to HR and find out. Im not sure if their are extra tests they want you to do (doubt it) but always best to reach out to HR. OPC will check at the beginning of the day too but obviously it would be best if you didn't need to go just to be told you have already passed!

I’ve emailed hr so hopefully they get back to me on whether I need to attend or not. I did ring the OPC yesterday just to check their side and they couldn’t offer anything at that time as they didn’t have any details from TP yet. She advised me to book a date anyway just incase so that’s what I’ve done

Evening guys. Update on my scenario, I’ve had an email back to say the only test I need to do is the group bourdon but I can’t work out why as I passed this to enhanced with the other tests I do. Has anyone else had this?

Did you definitely reach the enhanced standard on it? I had to do it for Freightliner as I only had standard pass on the one I did previously.

Freightliner wanted enhanced standard and I’m through to the dmi so I definitely passed. I’ve got the email still which says the tests are enhanced and then one confirming I had passed them. I can’t see why I would need to retake it.

TOCs that use enhanced don't all have the same level of enhanced according to the OPC. Whereas standard is national for all TOCs/FOCs, an enhanced pass is set by each individual operator. So you could pass to enhanced standard for TOC A, but not meet TOC Bs

Just a warning for those using certain browsers to read emails.

The email from TPE wasnt showing much text on my browser, I just read the email on my PC (Not ipad) and extra information was very clear.

Both my phone and ipad wouldnt show this information until it was highlighted. Very odd.

Anyway, missing in it was the critical bit.

What tests will I take?

You will take the following tests:

- Group Bourdon
- Trainability for Rules and Procedures Parts 1 and 2
- Test of Everyday Attention (Tea-occ)

- The WAFV Vigilance Test, which starts on page 3 of Practice Materials B
- The ATAVT Perception Test, which starts on page 9 of Practice Materials B
- The 2Hand Co-ordination Test, which starts on page 20 of Practice Materials B
- The Situational Judgement Exercise (SJE), which starts on page 25 of Practice Materials B
- The Multi Modal Interview, which starts on page 34 of Practice Materials B.

Not necessarily, as it depends on if they're doing assessments in batches.

Mine hasn't updated either but does give me the option to withdraw application so I presume it's still live

For the Sheffield position there were tests running every day except Monday for two weeks.

Im not sure how many per day.
