I think they will be used for Liverpool to Nottingham.
Even if they are, it doesn't stop them going off lease until some mobilisation happens on that project. TPE have nothing for them to work on at the current time.
...and they aren't going to be leased by EWR at this stage either given services aren't ready to run for a fair while.

That means some of the gaps in EMR regional division will be filled by TPE

Why turbostars are not electric
Turbostars currently run on Chiltern/WMR Snow Hill, these would be become available if electrification happens as EMUs can displace them.

WMR are keeping their Class 172s.
It's also a fair assumption that Chiltern might run it - the Aylesbury service being cut I believe will be an operational lay-over thing rather than a different TOC.
Perhaps even Oxford is wired up by then - Chiltern is definitely the most in-need network for wires now.
