I put it to this thread that Ann Widdecombe is a class 70, whereas Caroline Flint is a class 40. Obviously no MP could ever be compared to a Deltic!

You've started something now: -

Gordon Brown - a Nodding Donkey ?

Blast - I shall be voyaging in the opposite direction at that time. I shall look out for it in passing, but probably be unable to appreciate its rugged beauty. Any idea how long she is staying in Leeds?

Tony Blair has to be a Voyager in that case! Seems good at first, but turns out to be pretty tacky once you're aboard for the ride.

Obviously John Prescott is a Thumper.

I suspect there is no truth in the rumour that Birmingham City Council had an expulsion order issued, co-joint with a Restraining Order preventing it from again entering the City limits !
:lol::lol::lol::lol:

Birmingham has spent much money on greening up the city and removing those horrible tower blocks and is determined to improve the City. No doubt the thought of such a horrible sight (albeit hidden away in a place few rarely venture) was too much.

Perhaps this loco should be rated an 18...and only aloud out after dark:lol:

But soon I could be condemned to Pendolinos :cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry:

And forced against my better judgement to line Beardie's pockets :cry::cry:<(<(

Anyway all these lovely Dutch ladies are bad for one's heart and blood pressure, and the Duty Free at Schiphol is no longer the wonderful place for bargains that it once was when you use £, thanks to our economic situation.

I really cannot comment on that except to say- oh but then I would be commenting :oops:.
never been on a pendo, but we went through Brummingham a few weeks ago, on a XC HST I do have some standards, and my 6 year old spoke the words I feared the most <D.

Suffice to say that whenh Mk3s arrive on odd WCML services, the punters are more than happy with them.

I prefer to travel first class simply because there is more room, and the Internet is free. Would you believe it is about £10 per hour in standard, yet another rip-off.

Food served quickly can be consumed by Rugby but any slackness means one is rushing if you are getting off at Coventry.

70001 slunk away from Lawley St some 30 minutes late, no reason known but cynics suggest it was carrying various dispersal and restraining orders issued by adjoining local Councils.
