You need to ask one of the Gods with green or red usernames to gain access to it. It's a place where the rules are (allegedly) a tad more relaxed than on the main boards... when it's not locked that is! We basically get a thread each week where we can talk about a lot more things than on the main board as the thread has no topic. It's a case of seeing where it goes each week. It's not a chat room - just a thread with no actual subject to it.

There's an option to sign-up under RailUK Forums > User CP > Group Memberships - Your membership will have to be approved by a group moderator before ye'll be able to read and/or post into the chat forum (Which includes a birthdays section), but this shouldn't take long provided there aren't any serious infractions on thy account. 8)<D

Well, ye've deleted it from our eyes...But remember that the Mods have rollback and history functions available to them, a bit like the page history function on Wikipedia... ;)

DISCLAIMER: This post was not written to offend - merely a light-hearted response to someone's post. Both members involved understand that it was not intended to upset. It's going to get so tedious writing these disclaimers under every joke so that the mods understand that offence was not intended. To indicate a joke we also use smilies - something we will probs get punished for under the 'excesive smilies' law. One again, I apologise.

(Mainly because - Although I was born without a sense of humour - I decided to make a half-decent effort to acquire one over time. I still understand and laugh at German humour, though... :?)

When writing articles for 2600 Magazine, a lot of authors always put a usual disclaimer to the effect of "What ye use the information within this article for is entirely your responsibility, and I will not accept any responsibility for anything bad that may happen to you etc." To save time and magazine space - And the fact that this is recognised as a standard disclaimer in the Hacker community - It's normally shortened down to something like #INCLUDE=Standard_disclaimer.h or something like that. 8)

If in doubt though, ye could always dump a generic post disclaimer into thy signature and save thyself typing it out every time... <D

Although I would've thought that the long gap between the hyphen and "offence" would've suggested the presence of hidden text anyway, to say nothing of the "orphaned" emoticon two lines down! :)<D

Things that make me late home, tonight I was over an hour late getting back.
Lorry hits and kills a pedestrian. Morecambe road is totally closed as a potential murder scene.
Traffic clogs up Lancaster in any and every direction
Meanwhile, a car catches fire in the queue, necessitating the entire closure of Greyhound bridge, meaning no traffic can leave the city.

Just great eh?
