Based on the pictures of First Class a couple of pages ago I really can't imagine the first class passengers being particularly happy with that.. Not even a door to separate the area and exactly the same seats?! It's just going to constantly end up with people sitting in there because they don't even realise it's first class and yet more threads appearing on here with people getting penalty fares for it.. Very bad move.
Well there is the odd thing, it seems that they have been designed for that entire section I have photted, up to the internal doors, to be First Class (most seats have velcro on them ready to receive antimacassars) but they have instead just got First in the small section behind the driver, about a good 1/4 of which is a sodding luggage rack!
is the door further down the carriage as maybe the 1st class section will be extended when they leave Thameslink?

Also what is going on with the seat pattern? looks very random
The seat patterns *appear* to be different to designate Standard and First seating - but they've knackered that by having the section mentioned above as Standard. A couple of seats are also priority and have a different pattern, plus a big P embroided onto the headrest
Possibly, but having seen how bad first class is now marked on a range of GTR trains I do actually feel a bit sorry for some people who will be caught unawares.
Not on GTR but we were on a 377 earlier in the day of the type that has no dividing doors. Pretty sure some of the others sat there had maybe not noticed the tiny "1"'s on the windows given there is nothing much to differentiate the two areas!
