What state is it like inside? the original virgin sets before refurb?
looks in much better condition than most GA interiors!
The DVT I guess will have similar issues to the GA ones when they arrived as I recall they were subject to speed restrictions over parts of the route. Seven Kings Station springs to mind.
Judging by BBC Look East news interview with Jonathan Denby (GA media bod) mark 3 stock taken off by Virgin might find its way to East Anglia to cover for refurbishment work about to commence !
Certainly something needs to happen. Around 7 of the 11 sets required in traffic were short formed on one day recently.
Is that just because carriages are away at refurb?
will the pretendalino stay after the GA sets are all refurbed?
Why are the DVTs subject to speed restrictions? Weight issues?
I believe its out of gauge at speed through some stations so it has to slow down to reduce the sway as it passes through some stations.
Isnt there at least one spare GA DVT somewhere from the disbanded set?
Currently to be found wandering around between Norwich and Great Yarmouth / Lowestoft covering for shortages of DMUs providing its allowed to run of course.
whats actually being done to GA's MK3s?

Out of genuine curiosity, what would make a 90+MK3 set special on a route which has 90+MK3s on a half hourly basis? :?
