We next board the 0837 Stagecoach Manchester service 23A to East Didsbury Metrolink stop that arrives there at 0910 on Saturday morning.

As we tend to hit Manchester quite a lot on this game (which I'm personally not complaining about as I absolutely love the place, despite the objections of others), we head to an area of the city that I don't think we've been to before (or at least not for a long time anyway), a rather trendy part that is, so we board the 0925 Stagecoach Manchester service 50 to Salford Quays (MediaCity UK/The Lowry), arriving there at 1023 on Saturday morning, which is also I believe Manchester's only cross-city bus route, so we also enjoy this fantastic journey cutting straight across the heart of this fabulous Northern metropolis.

We take a moment to absorb the atmosphere but then go straight back to Piccadilly station on the tram, with a view to perhaps going to some other city, leaving MediaCityUK at around 1031 and arriving at around 1053 (Saturday).

We make our way up stairs and escalators to the main train shed and board the 1107 XC service to Bristol Temple Meads that arrives there at 1405 on Saturday afternoon.

We then catch the 1425 FGW service to Warminster, arriving at 1509 on a Saturday afternoon.

We take the 5 minute walk from the railway station to Market Square where we next board the 1608 First in Bristol, Bath and the West service 265 to Quidhampton (Tinkerpit Cottage) that arrives there at 1652 on Saturday afternoon.

We then board the 1726 First in Bristol, Bath and The West service 265 to Bathampton (St George's Hill), arriving there at 1933 on Saturday evening.

Desperately wanting to get away from Filton Abbey Wood, we take the 12:54 FGW service to Brighton arriving at 17:05 on Sunday Evening

We then exit the station and board the 1740 Brighton and Hove Buses service 13X to Saltdean (Longridge Avenue), arriving there at 1802 on Sunday afternoon.

If I may be so bold as to interject here, the previous service to that in the previous posting arrived on Sunday evening so it does appear that there has been a wait of no less than SIX DAYS to enable this service to arrive on the following SATURDAY evening ......as stated in the previous posting. Howsoever, such a service with times as shown does in fact run on a Sunday evening so assuming that was what was meant.....

Sorry, it is a Sunday service but I put Saturday instead. Day now corrected.

Trying to do this whilst battling the morning rush-hour is never fun!

Brighton is blessed with an exceptionally good bus company, so we can still continue on the 2051 Brighton and Hove Buses service 14 to Brighton (Old Steine), arriving there at 2115 on Sunday evening.

The service levels at this hour of the day (technically following on from Sunday evening) really is incredible, and we can still continue, so we board 2W78, the 0141 First Capital Connect service to Bedford, arriving there at 0158 in the unearthly hours of Morning morning.
