At 1504 along comes a First's number 52 bus which we board alighting a few minutes later in Sheffield centre at Rockingham Street . The time is 1511 Tuesday.
Sadly we are still more than half a mile from Sheffield Station and The Tap

To cheer Dan up, we'll take a lovely journey to the Peak District. We walk about 400m to Charter Row/Moor Market and take the 1534 TM Travel service 218 to Bakewell Square arriving 1614 on Tuesday afternoon.

Trent Barton have a departure at 1630 from Matlock Street, the no6.1 which goes towards Derby but we get off at 1637 Tuesday at Northwood , Opp Harrison Way hoping to glimpse movement on the Peak Rail Tracks down below.

Whilst I no longer participate upon this quiz, but am an occasional user of the TP bus service, may I intercede here to say that the information shown above regarding the name of the stop in the Longsight area is that accepted by TfGM.....High Peak who operate this service give the stop location as Longsight, Dickenson Road, in the Manchester bound direction.

I have also spoken to a senior Inspector of High Peak over the telephone with regards to this matter who consulted his copy of the route operational diagram and his reply states..."The only two official stops of the Trans Peak service in either Levenshulme Longsight in the Manchester-bound direction are at Albert Road and at Dickenson Road"

Since making my last part of this posting, I have been given an actual High Peak "Trans Peak" timetable leaflet which appears to have a spelling mistake contained with the list of officially stated stopping places.

Not having found the High Peak service but spotting the area from Paul's post I figure our next move will on a number 50 run by Stagecoach Manchester and the 1903 departure will drop us off at 1914 Tuesday in Burnage, (Kingsway/Mauldeth Road) a mere hop skip and a jump from Mauldeth Road station

Well I can't actually find an 1914* service 50 arrival in Burnage but taking it at its face value and given that the service is frequent enough for a few minutes to make no difference we make our way to Mauldeth Road station and take the 1953 Northern service to Wilmslow, arriving at 2021 Tuesday evening

* Both stagecoach and traveline have it running 3 minutes later with the start point being in Rusholme Anson Road/DickEnson Road

Here is the timetable for the Transpeak service from Northwood to Longsight, by the way.

The service in question is the 1550 from Derby to Manchester, when you select 'Inbound' for Monday to Friday, and by selecting 'All stops', you will see that the bus leaves Harrison Way in Northwood at 1648 and gets to Longsight (Stockport Road/Longsight Health Centre) at 1835.
