3 loco hauled sets.
DRS Operated expected to be class 47/57 depending on what's available. 37's highly unlikely as the trains are timed for 47/57 runs.

Why don't they just ban all bikes as Southern do during the London to Brighton bike ride.

According to the Northern rail Tour De France web site there are a number of other additional services running to/from Harrogate on July 5th to those shown above /below, including three through East Coast services in either direction. Go to the above web site and follow the York – Harrogate –Leeds link. These services are also shown on the National rail enquires journey planner web site.

Does anyone have further info on the pretendolino formed service?

I assumed the DVT would be used, but thinking about it the Pretendolino DVT may not have the modifications required to work with a 67, nor might the 67 supplied be a DVT-compatible one, so could it be top n tailed?

I've also seen mention of DRS 57s on it, but I think that's someone confusing it with the other loco hauled trains.

Yep,
1 set is going to be Top and tailed 67s with the Pretendolino and the other with 57s.

The Virgin set seems like an odd choice, long way to drag it, particularly if they are not going to use the DVT.

Would be brilliant if so, got photos of most of the non-Chiltern/Scottish based ones but need these two!

Is the Pretendalino officially a Northern or TPE service? Which services will it be running?

Latest updates from various sites (sorry, don't know the original sources, but all due thanks to them).

57309 has been called to Thunderbird on the WCML so 47810 is expected to be standing in, presumably on the Northern Harrogate shuttle.

67017 working on the Fife Circle, so 67027 now booked along with 67006. They will be working with the DB DVT 82146, giving a very odd mix of colours on the train, DB red, DB silver, VWC and Royal.

Will it be Northern Staff doing the ticket checks/doors on these services as I'm guessing they would have had to have had training on these trains before working them unless I'm wrong

With 10 to 20,000 people expected at Hebden Bridge, which will only be accessible by road from the west (and with all car parking taken up by residents whose cars have been displaced from the route), I really don't think there will be much in the way of ontrain ticket checking done! The only realistic alternative to train travel are park and ride services from Halifax to Mytholmroyd and Todmorden to Hebden.

The 1315h from Leeds to Harrogate is a Northern service. Just seen it. Royal Train loco and all!

Odd seeing VT colours in Leeds. Interesting that they've let the DVT on (useful for bikes, I guess!)

More interesting that they've taken the pretendolino dvt off and put on the DB one.

They would have need a brake vehicle so thats why it has a DVT. I suspect it was also cheaper for DB to use their own DVT rather than also hire the Virgin one.

47810 failed at Blackburn I heard, and the 20s on instead.

Out of interest, did the Pretendolino have its first class accommodation ?

I only managed the DRS Mk 2's on transpennine, however, I was very impressed with the interior condition of the carriages.

20's went on at Bradford then bizarrely sent on a direct working to Sheffield, but now they are supposed to be working the 19-29 Hebden Bridge to Blackburn, so exactly what route they have taken to get to Hebden Bridge, no idea. Hell of a racket out of Bradford I think only 1 loco was working in multi so a real struggle up the hill towards Leeds.

The 20's took the Mk.2 set to Sheffield non stop in the day to move the sheer amount of spectators heading to Sheffield.

I believe its now back on the circuit.

On the TPE, a little bit of conflicting info when the track spread underneath 47853 in Holgate Sidings but quick 185 to Leeds and all able to board the stock and running went really well. Including the run to Sheffield, on time arrival into Doncaster.

I have to say TPE and DRS did a brilliant job, the stock cleaned regularly, superb Revenue Protection and the 47's were brilliant. Lovely to see old faces and be able to get that urge to get back out their.

What route did the 20s take to Sheffield? Pudsey, Engine Shed, Kirkgate etc?
