If an eldery person is capable of standing then so be it. They do not have to pay, and yet we are ripped off and still often get no seats!

If some chav or person didnt give there seat up to an old person I would punch them!:roll: , because its just general manners I do it all the time give up my seat one person gave me a £5 note for doing it once. I dont do it for money I do it for manners.

Another thing;

Why must people who did not view an incident take it upon themselves to appeal for witnesses purely so they can see somebody they do not like get into trouble? Especially when the victim does not want to pursue it?

And then go around spreading the news of the incident to random people, to cause embarassment to the victim and to blacken the offenders name over something they didn't even see. People who aren't involved should stay out of other people's business.

If thats a rude comment that isnt very nice. If a chav didnt give there seat up I would pull them out. because its rude not to espcially if the person cant stand for two long.:roll:.

No offence mate but you're an undersized 13 year old - couple of tips for you. Don't make promises you can't keep, and don't pick fights you won't win. Nobody will think any less of you for just standing by, you're a small kid.

And you shouldn't accept money from strangers for doing the right thing. I help women/OAPs with luggage up stairs when I can and would never take more than a smile and thank you.

1. Stupid rules which stop bus drivers from opening the doors until they've stopped

3. People who insist on remaining seated on the bus when they're about to get off

1. Don't know about with you, but up here the bus drivers open the doors approaching the stop!
2. Even worse is those who have no money at all and plead for credit.
3. I can understand if they are and OAP or unstable etc

Thing I find most annoying about buses has to be OAPs who rudely ask for a seat:

There I was, waiting for my bus listening to my MP3 player and chatting to some mates when I get this hard prod in my back.
ME: Turing round, "excuse me"
OAP: says and does nothing
So I turn back to my mates then I start to here this loud conversation moaning about how children are so rude these days etc.
Anyway, I get another prod and this time the OAP says "Gonna give me a seat you little ****"
ME:No. If you wanted a seat you could have asked politely."
(This caused a tirade of abuse until her bus left)

Another time I got told to f*ck of because the OAP "wanted to get on the bus 1st, having pushed past about 20 people!

Our local service meets most peoples needs, tourists, commuters, ramblers, shoppers, school kids, OAP's and so on, so the loadings are obviously very high and with only 40 seats and 12 standing, its a simple of matter of try and get on first. I would give up my seat for someone who clearly wasn't able to stand up on their own, but not if they're rude or get on the bus on the section of route which also has a bus every 10 minutes and can simply wait a few moments for another bus. I'm a bit particular about other's behaviour on the bus, often askign other kids to stop swearing or keep their feet of the seats. However one time, some chav had his bag on the next seat and refused to move it for an elderley person, so being bigger than him, asked him to move before removing his bag myself. All part of my 'crusade against total idiots and chavs (which are mostly the same thing)

1. Britains law setting do-gooders, "people will be ashamed of ASBO's......"
2. Pikey's, the sight of their caravans in convoy makes me seethe.
3. Religion (oh dear getting controversial here aren't we).
4. Terrorists (just shut up you stupid bu**ers).
5. B - movies.
6. Glaring stupidity in movies.
7. Chavs (well duh!)
8. education (DULL DULL DULL)
9. Smartarses.
10. Sugar in tea.

heh heh heh, reminds me of the time I was helping a visitor out of the car park at the GCR during winter. He'd bogged down in mud and I'd just shoveled a load of ballast under his wheels and started pushing, when he floored it and plastered me with mud (missing 960012 in the process). In that case, the tenner he gave me to apologise was justified, and he definitely did the right thing as far as I'm concerned
